“Play that funky music, white boy…”
Erlend Öye’s new band, The whitest boy alive, just toured Sweden with a string of funky shows and now they’ve just been signed to Swedish record label Service (home to among others: Jens Lekman, Cat5 and Embassy). They’ve also been included on one of the compilations from french hipster label Kitsune. A single will be out soonish and an album will drop this summer.

I caught WBA at debaser last week… pretty rockin show. Erlend looked like he as having alot of fun. remix potential is unreal. actually i’m probably anticipating remixes more than the album itself, and knowing Erlend, he can tap some pretty sweet production!
