I think it depends on what you’re exptect to get. Arthur Russell have made some real amazing music but it’s pretty easy to hear why he never got that big billboard-hit thay he was aiming for. Must of it is way out on the left side. But you don’t have to place all music in a pop/dance-context. It can be pretty amazing even if it don’t fit in those frames.

Only his solo stuff, not the stuff he produced. That said, this song isn’t particularly great. It’s not DFA’s or Arthur Russell’s best.
