It’s been a busy day over here at Discobelle but it ain’t over yet.

The new single “Mr Jones” from Mike Jones was released yesterday for a limited time only as a downloadable song on his MySpace. Unfortunately we slept but Idibi of Fluokids comes to the rescue and provides us with what could be one of the hottest songs this fall, maybe with the exception of Justin Timberlakes “My love”. This track rides the simple beat perfectly, those bells and the piano are killer, and the chorus along with the rapping and the usual “Mike Jones” shout outs sure makes this a banger. His new album “The American dream” will drop soon.

Ah, some great new remixes of the Lily Allen track “LDN”. The first one comes from Switch, a great remixer that’s been featured here on Discobelle a few times by now. Yuksek (or Pierre-Alexandre Busson which is his given name) is part of the growing and oh so hip young french electro scene along with hipster faves Justice, Para One, SebastiAn and Surkin etc. They’re all more or less associated with the Ed Banger crew, they’re all definetely worthy of the hype (as you all surely know already) and Yuksek is no exception. He makes electro bangers with one foot in hip hop and one foot in that amazing chopped up french electro/techno sound.
