we are certainly not a bonde de role gimmick! just a group of djs putting together mash ups to fit into a baile/electro/rock type set.
and yes they do go over well in clubs. we are anonymous because, frankly, who is interested in 30 something anal djs.

abraços from brazil and thanks for the plug!

Scruggs: Thanks for all the info, there's not a whole lot of that on their Myspace or when i tried to google them so i'm sure you're on point. Btw, your writings from Brazil were amazing.

don't be fooled too quickly -- there's something suspicious when they have 0 hits in Portuguese on Google Brasil.

They've got 4 tracks on myspace: "detox", the Britney Spears one, and "que sete", which samples Seven Nation Army, are semi-original. The other two are just retreads of Piracy Funds Terrorism and some Bonde do Role mixes. None of them use original vocals. In other words, this group doesn't exist.

As the anonymous comment above points out, it might even be a Bonde do Role gimmick.

In either case, it's definitely more funk parody than legit funk. You'll have to dig deeper to find the good stuff. The Campinas, São Paulo address should be a tip-off too -- that's like looking for the latest bmore mixtape out in Westminster. It may be popular nationally in Brasil, but for the latest trends/most current innovation, Rio's still got it on lock.
