William Russell

A dj and producer from Cleveland, William Russell, brings us these hot remixes of our favorite girl Lily Allen and also of everyone’s favorite countryrapper Bubba Sparxxx.
He turns these tracks from their original sound into stompy electroish tunes complete with among other things handclaps and sing along breaks that’ll probably be a good look for any dancefloor.

Wind it up

Gwen Stefani returns with this new single from her upcoming album “The sweet escape” that drops early december. On the track she apparently gets production help from The Neptunes, they do a fine job of providing a crazy beat. She also manages to do some yodelling! Dunno about this but it’ll be a huge hit, for sure. (Thanks to some dude over at Fathertronix)

You know we like dance tunes. Andre 3000 and Jim Jones are on fire. Discobelle, Walk it out! (Benzi rules)

Booka Chip

Booka Shade and Hot Chip seems to have been trading remix favours lately. Hot Chip recently remixed a song off the latest Booka Shade EP (We love Oh my gosh, thank you for this track), now Booka Shade remixes and put their magic touch on the epic Hot Chip track “(Just like we) Breakdown”. You can buy music from both groups here.

War on Beef!

Our main man Kristian is setting up a party at Mejeriet in Lund this Friday. Punks Jump Up and Disco Belle allstars will be rocking the main floor while Motorcycle Boy and Karin Arbsjö will be taking over the bar. Expect some bubbly and snacks before 12 as well. You better be there!

Beverly Hills Cop

Ah, Jim Jones brings back memories – of our childhood days when we sat and watched “Beverly Hills Cop” over and over – with this joint that samples the main theme from the movie. This track is taken from the DJ Drama mixtape “Seven day theory” and it’s ballin! (Amir came through)

surkin.jpg

Surkin

Surkin has been mentioned here before (with his side-project High Powered Boys). As everybody knows by now some of the most exciting music today is coming out of Paris, Surkin is at the forefront of the new and hip french electro scene. He used to be into hip hop, which his productions reveals, before he got into dancier and more electronic stuff. This track is taken from the b-side of the “Radio fireworks” 12inch that you all should pick up here along with other assorted goodies.

BONUS: Two mixes Surkin did for the fantastic french mp3 blog Frootylootybootymoviegooniezoonie. We also bring you another stunning High Powered Boys track, it’s alot similar to the previous one with repetitive vocals and a beat that just makes you wanna dance.

MIA turbo

We hooked you up with the new M.I.A track “XR 2″ a while back, now Diplo alters it a little bit. This is the turbo version!

Da Ghis

The fantastic dj and producer from Montreal, Ghislain Poirier gives us his take on that hot Justin Timberlake track “My love” and mashes it up with a song by Champion (who’s apparently some really popular québécois artist). Here’s the result:

digitalism.gif

Digitalism

Although their sound is somewhat similar to that of the new french electro scene and they’re signed to french label Kitsune, Digitalism actually consists of two german producers/dj’s. We’ve been enjoying their monster remixes with all those heavy beats, squelchy synths, electrorock riffs for quite some time now and yet they continue to surpass their previous efforts time after time.

These outstanding remixes of Depeche Mode and the mighty Klaxons (we’ve mentioned them before) were posted on Clitspit, they’re both amazing and should make every dancefloor explode into full blown debauchery.
