I like this. The hook is a little weird when it first comes on (because I like my hooks hooky) but the second time it comes around, you are lulled into accepting it. Something good. yea!

This is over Someone Great from the new LCD Soundsystem album. Which explains the comment above.

So, I wonder, is that the real James Murphy speaking?
Either way it’s funny.
December 21st, 2006 at 19:11
Ace: We’re wondering the same thing, no e-mail yet…
December 21st, 2006 at 19:32
Mix = not bad. Better than I was expecting from that dude.
Re: James Murphy, what authority would he have to be asking for the mix to be removed? He didn’t do the mix and neither Timberlake nor T.I. are signed to DFA records. Unless of course Diplo sampled a DFA track for his remix beat which may be the case (??) as the track does remind me of that track LCD soundsystem did for nike.
December 21st, 2006 at 19:44
that is the case, Ian.
December 21st, 2006 at 19:46
the track the My Love acc is over is by LCD Soundsystem homey…
December 21st, 2006 at 19:52
t.i. rap section - good.
verse 1 - key clash. not good.
chorus - key clash. bad.
ultimately dull.
not remotely inspired in anyway.

Oh shit Disco D posts here.
Yo man that shits fake. For real though.
December 21st, 2006 at 20:04
hahahahahaha!!!
dude, this IS more fun that the hollerboard.
December 21st, 2006 at 20:09
Murphy is just mad that one of his other productions serves as a better remix than the official DFA remix. That said, my anticipation for “Sound of Silver” grows with each new hint released.
December 21st, 2006 at 20:13
please, the the og track alone…trance-esque synth rule!
December 21st, 2006 at 20:54
DICK. RIDERS.
December 21st, 2006 at 20:59
The beat you hear is from Someone Great, a track from the upcoming LCD Soundsystem album ‘Sound of Silver’. The dude just laid the vocals on top.
December 21st, 2006 at 21:24
I like the timberland mix the best still..
December 21st, 2006 at 21:29
the og LCD track is amazing and should be left alone.
my opinion.
acca over a beat = djing. its been going on for years.
December 21st, 2006 at 22:18
this has to be one of the worst remixes ive heard from diplo, not feeling this at all. seems very amateurish, anyone could throw this together.
December 21st, 2006 at 23:24
The post above wasn’t me.
December 21st, 2006 at 23:36

too forced but will get attention due to the names
it’s a basic mash up not hard to do whatever
these things are disposable
disco d got me rolling
December 22nd, 2006 at 01:03
well its just a blend so i dont see what you guys are complaining about
December 22nd, 2006 at 01:22
I cant agree with age more, I just put that out there and got dogged on for it! An acapella over a beat IS djing, not a remix, although im glad its not an acapella over a baltimore beat, that shit is played out. And the OG of both these songs is better. I also agree with Rick, those trance-esque synths are making a comeback and sound dope as hell, makes me want to pick up an access virus!
December 22nd, 2006 at 02:18
I meant the og j timberlake track…thunderdrome crunk!
My Love vs Dick in a Box acapella blend for president !!!
Arthur…bearded revenge !

December 22nd, 2006 at 19:41
So wack. Mashing up two extremely dope tunes to make one stupid one. I haven’t heard a good remix from Diplo since ‘Put that pussy on me.’
December 23rd, 2006 at 03:18
whats the difference between a mash-up and a blend?
December 23rd, 2006 at 21:58
This mix sucks
December 24th, 2006 at 00:29
james. quit biting.
December 24th, 2006 at 01:06

December 25th, 2006 at 15:49
sounds good to me!
December 26th, 2006 at 06:54
I have never seen why there is all this hype behind Diplo.. HE SUXX,
HE CANT MIX, ALWAY TRAINWRECKS WHEN HE PLAYS. he also picks the lamest tracks to remix. sounds like it is all produced in live by a person who dont know shit
December 26th, 2006 at 20:09
I know dude, you’ve been saying it for a while and you’re definately right: you WOULD do a way better job if these promoters just stopped giving gigs to their friends and tried to find some real talent for a change.
December 27th, 2006 at 00:43
man, i was doing all this sh*t back in ‘68
December 27th, 2006 at 05:57
Don’t know what “Someone” is, but no one acknowledged that portions of this comprise LCD’s nike* track.
Which is to say, if Murph is recycling that stuff for the new LCD record, I’m dissapointed.
December 27th, 2006 at 19:37
“someone” in its instrumental form appears on the nike mix. the rest of the new record is unreleased and it kicks ass.
January 12th, 2007 at 00:06
i’m pretty mad at this track.
February 14th, 2007 at 20:44
COOL !!!
