Phantom (updated)

The Justice track “Phantom”, for real this time. This track has been played all day here at Discobelle HQ. Scary electro that apparently samples some track off a Dario Argento soundtrack but it’s still that Justice we know and love. You know you have to get this when it drops sometime in March. (Thanks to Nathan)

BONUS: This is an amazing edit made by our boy Alex from the brilliant blog Skull Juice (be sure to check out their MySpace for more goodness). He uses the original track, that Justice samples, from the Dario Argento soundtrack to “Tenebrea” and blends it with “Phantom”.

This will sound good on a proper sound system. Will play it out for sure. Interested to hear the rest of the album. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it wont be exactly the same formula across all the tracks. We shall see..

Get the rework, IMO it kills the original. Phantom shines only when you blast the shit out of it, the rework has more breadth.

[...] Head over to Discobelle and pick up the full-version of Justice’s “Phantom.” While you’re at it snag the re-edit of the song by blogger Alex Egan of Skull Juice who mixes a sample of “Tenebrea” from the Dario Argento soundtrack with “Phantom.” [...]

well… phantom is indeed a remake of tenebre by goblin!

  • Hammer says:

Also a sample used from the original Tenebrea track: “The Anthem” by Hatiras.
