“Thanks to this and that blog”…Uh, what about finding your own stuff guys? It´s just so easy to lift stuff from other blogs and create your own “Super blog”, everyone can do that. I mean, where´s the originality? It´s just fucking boring and i really hope people see through it. Sorry guys but if you don´t quit doing that all the time you don´t deserve that Plug award.

Imo, a bit boring, it looks like a Daft Punk track intro that never takes off, and more than six minutes is a bit long for an intro…

This is great. No one else can do looped stuff without it sounding boring like Bangalter. I don’t know how he does it.

Isn’t the track called “Signature”? Spelling error?

  • Martin says:

    February 4, 2007 at 15:52

Evaluation: “Signature” or “Signatune”, i’ve seen both titles so i’m not really sure which is correct. Pharrell says “Signatune” so i’m trusting him for now.

Noel: We’ve had this discussion before and it’s getting tiresome. Out of the last 30-40 or so posts, not a single one has been lifted from some other blog and at least 10 posts have been Discobelle exclusives. But we do get mp3s from other blogs, other blogs posts mp3s that we’ve previously posted. We also get tracks/mixes from forums, messageboards, Soulseek, Oink, Myspace and people send us tracks/mixes. If you want to start a mp3blog which would be the equivalent to Hype Machine and only post stuff from other blogs, then do so. In the meantime, stop your whining.

Noel: In first hand, this bizniz should be about spreading good music. I really don’t see the problem with taking things from other blogs, and especially not if you give them credits. Stop the hating and enjoy the music instead.

  • mc ren says:

maybe if you looked on the album you would see that it is “signatune”.

  • Manhands says:

The notion that an mp3 blog should claim ownership of material that they post is a fucking laugh.

It’s all about building yourself up on the backs of other artists’ material.

These sites decrease sales of those tracks for thoses artists. No artist, aside from wannabe “remixers”, are giving you these “promos” to upload here.

Nobody gives a shit about the content, opinions, personal projects, or anything else from mp3 blogs. All they want is the free mp3s because that’s all you guys really have to offer.

Its no wonder you got the name wrong you guys aren’t really interested in the music anyways.

That’s why your shit is all over the map and you live on scraps.

The only thing worse than this blog is the guy from the other blog trying to call you on stealing from a thief.

[...] Signatune and Electro Published April 18th, 2007 Thoughts , Music I’ve been listening to Eddie Holliwell’s mix the other day, and he played a new awesome track by Thomas Bangalter (well, Thomas co-created it with Mehdi but the meat of the track is obviously him). It is very in line with early Daft Punk creations, which are very loopy, repetitive, yet marvellous. It reminded me of “Music Sounds Better With You”, and now I can’t get it out of my head (kind of a hard track to hum though). [...]
