Mixin’ it up: Kid Fresh
This weeks Mixin’ it up comes from a true turntable king. Kid Fresh left us this mix just before he went on a Asian tour and we are happy we got it before he left. Here he is: Kid Fresh!
“My main motivation to drop this mix, was to put together some of my favorite tunes, old n new, in a way like they haven’t been heard before. the priority for me was, to be able to listen to it over and over again without getting bored after a while. It works for me so far, hope it works for y’all as well !
About me:
I’m a 27 yr old dj/turntablist, grown up in northern Germany. Been spinning for 10 years now and had my main focus on dj-competitions/battles from ‘99 til ‘03. Besides winning a couple of national comps, i managed to achieve 3 ITF world titles, 1 on the solo-tip, and 2 team-titles alongside my 2001 founded crew “Lordz of fitness” in 2003 & 2004.
Nowadays i’m fully devoted to the clubscene, been spinning all over Europe & Asia so far and try to deliver the folks my own way of raising a roof with my own “multi-genre-trickmix-tablist-club style.”

there should be more mixes like that where djs have these extra dope turntablism skills. it’s a whole another level compared to all the other standart mixes out there. it has more flavor!

Pretty f***ing dope! Stands out from most every mix I’ve d/led from Discobelle recently (along with Crookers…).
Of the countless times I’ve heard Eddie Murphy mixed with Bloc Party, I’d have to say I like this one the best…..
