Hello.
As an early innovator of rap/electro re-edits… (Justice- Waters of Nazareth/TI- What You Know About That in early 2006)…
I must say the term “rave-rap” is relegated to the realm of deragatory slander, propogated by those against such amalgamations of genres within electronic music.
The correct term is THUGRAVE. Please make a note of this and change your Wiki entries.

Sorry, next time I’m being facetious I’ll add a footnote so I don’t hurt any feelings.

Anybody who takes the words “thug” and “rave” and tries to create some kind of new genre is on some serious whiteboy shit. You guys need to stick a glow stick right up your tight jean wearin asses. No homo!!!!

[...] Red Foxxworth calls such tracks thugrave (we’ve seen it unfortunately called rave-rap elsewhere). Thugrave essentially takes hard rap a capellas (generally dirty south a capellas) and puts them over a new technoid sound, usualy remixedor reedited. Foxxworth has had success with the formula already, and the Hearthrob party turns it out every other Tuesday. [...]

Corrrrrny… don’t get emotional, don’t get worked up visualizing guys in tight jeans sticking things in their asses… yes homo, you wrote it.
Shit is so crazy… why do I even post. First of all Tyler’s edits kill when I hit ppl with it no matter what its called, truth. I post an obviously facetious (that means “tongue in cheek”) comment about hypothetical subgenre buzzwords (of which there are far too many) and ppl get worked up.
In my opinion it’s unfortunately called anything… I don’t like names. We’re just trying to rock dancefloors and we listen to south shit and electro.
Chilllllllll. Tylers edits will kill ur dancefloor and you’ll be on it too or you’ll be holding up the wall thinking up more gay scenarios.
