you must be a DJ Eli groupie and go hear him DJ all the time…cuz I’ve never heard any DJ play half of these songs/ edits, in Brooklyn or anywhere else for that matter… I mean yeah uffie and young folks and Justice is run of the mill, but this is a live set for what I would assume was an actual dancefloor… you must be the guy staring at the turntables going “yeah I got that” and goes back to sipping on his amaretto sour….

I dont actually really disagree with you totally. I just dont see why you feel the need to point out that it’s nothing special if you understand the context. I would assume a live mix from a club night might have songs on it that you hear all the time. but you said you have heard ALL of these songs all the time for the past few months like a normal brooklyn saturday, when a couple of these songs are exclusives or only released a few weeks ago… or only DJ Eli and a few other DJ’s like Pase Rock have them… which would you know, make this mix SPECIAL. so uhhh yeah. you’re right, Discobelle is the shit.

pase is one of the handful of dj’s that has a lot of these songs, and some that don’t have my name next to them i did too, but wasn’t happy with. this doesn’t make pase’s mix special but it probably makes it a little different from a typical saturday night in brooklyn. and look if you live in manhattan and go out downtown, the idea of hearing this music in a club is basically a pipe dream so STOP FIGHTING!

I only dropped the Uffie and the MIA track for the subtle/ not so subtle MIA/Miami references… but you might not catch that unless you were paying attention… note Contra saying “nice shout out to my airport, homie”…….

HA! well, stop getting high and SHITTING ON MY NAME! just cuz you don’t like Uffie…. shit is real out here man. calling out my shitty transitions and shit! I like to drink when I DJ, I probably shouldnt but FUCK IT!
