“midget” is a derogatory term. The word dwarf has generally replaced midget even for proportionally short people, though the term little person is preferred. According to the Little People of America, dwarfism is “a medical or genetic condition that usually results in an adult height of 4’10″ (147 cm)[1] or shorter, among both men and women, although in some cases a person with a dwarfing condition may be slightly taller than that.” Don’t call the wrong dwarf a midget or you will get stabbed.

lilppl — are you really a “little person”? i think most people use the word “midget” as a sort of blanket term for little people (and not necessarily intending offense), but originally it actually meant people who were small but normally proportioned, whereas “dwarfism” denotes people of small stature with disproportionately large heads and small limbs.

the thing that struck me the most about SOV’s album, was how most of it was made up of tracks that had already been around for the better part of a year or more. “hoodie”, and a few others…i think if she had more new material when her album dropped, she would’ve done a lot better.

Dave – It wasn’t a Lady Sov show….she was just an extra late night guest doing a 3 song mini-set at 3:30am. So nobody got their money back and I wouldn’t expect anyone to!!
