“midget” is a derogatory term. The word dwarf has generally replaced midget even for proportionally short people, though the term little person is preferred. According to the Little People of America, dwarfism is “a medical or genetic condition that usually results in an adult height of 4′10″ (147 cm)[1] or shorter, among both men and women, although in some cases a person with a dwarfing condition may be slightly taller than that.” Don’t call the wrong dwarf a midget or you will get stabbed.
lilppl — are you really a “little person”? i think most people use the word “midget” as a sort of blanket term for little people (and not necessarily intending offense), but originally it actually meant people who were small but normally proportioned, whereas “dwarfism” denotes people of small stature with disproportionately large heads and small limbs.
oh christ. i came to the club to hear music, not the performer crying about their sad life. you chose to be a performer, so deal with the BS that comes with it. i have absolutely ZERO pity for any celebrity who cries about the price of fame. save it for your blog, bitch.

She’s wack and so are all the novelty hipster female emcee’s out there. This is the home of hip hop and she needs to take her shoes off in our house if she thinks she’s gonna rap in this city…even for one night.
That’s absurd and I hope she lost every fan in that room.

the thing that struck me the most about SOV’s album, was how most of it was made up of tracks that had already been around for the better part of a year or more. “hoodie”, and a few others…i think if she had more new material when her album dropped, she would’ve done a lot better.

she came to LA and stopped preforming after 3 songs because she lost her voice.
she was very frustrated.
but she did come back after the tour was over and it was a free show to everyone who bought tix to the first.
it was worth it in the end!

Dave - It wasn’t a Lady Sov show….she was just an extra late night guest doing a 3 song mini-set at 3:30am. So nobody got their money back and I wouldn’t expect anyone to!!
This shit happens. Deal with it. Two days later Sov was off the hook at Jones Beach Amphitheater!! We all have our bad days, just most of us are lucky enough to not have people watching our every move. Give a girl a break.
