Stronger - radiorip (updated)

The new Kanye West track “Stronger” had the internet going nuts a few weeks back with its Daft Punk sample when it emerged as a snippet on a YouTube clip from a Kanye West show in Malaysia. Seems like the new Kanyeezy album “Graduation” (slated to be released on September 18th) will be hot. Also check out the new official “Can’t Tell Me Nothing Mixtape”. (Thanks to some dude over at the Hollerboard)

there’s nothing wrong with kanye giving hiphop some fresh thinking. if sampling daft punk then so be it. i’m all for new ideas in hiphop.

May 28th, 2007 at 18:55
Yawwwwwnnnnnnn.
Even the Neptunes remix of the original is fresher than this.
“new ideas in hiphop” > Swizz sampled Daft Punk for “Touch It” and actually made a banger.

http://www.butterteam.com/
at least this one doesn’t make you cringe. the daft punk clip is just wack. they also cop Thom York and that’s just wrong

sampling 20 year old records from obscure artists only a few people know about is no longer controverse.
sampling music with months regarding thom yorke and peter bjorn and john), or sampling music from favourite references of half the globe (daft punk), that is controverse.
i applaud kanye.
May 29th, 2007 at 15:12
Can he sample without permission from these artist? If not, I am surprised that they let him sample them, maybe it just breaks down to dollars and cents?
May 29th, 2007 at 16:30
dollars, cents,emberrassment
May 30th, 2007 at 06:04
This is by far one of the best songs I have heard in a while. Who cares if it isn’t original, it has daft punk and next time my ipod dies maybe i’ll be lucky enough to hear something daft punk on the radio.

Blunted Soul har hela låten rippad från radio.

I hear the album is hot fire, but go ahead and continue with the hate.
June 2nd, 2007 at 15:13
Let’s be honest, people will hate cause of Touch it, plain and simple. Have nothing against the guy but the sample feels weak, not reworked in any way shape or form.
June 2nd, 2007 at 17:08
I like the Justice track and this one. And Lupe spits hot fire on the Thom Yorke track.

June 3rd, 2007 at 03:34
haha. kanyes killin it. everyone gettin mad is proof. sensitive little indie kids. you don’t like him jackin daft punk? listen to the common album. Kanye’s the truth. and yeah, i need that mix too.
June 3rd, 2007 at 06:47
hahah this song is weak. i like kanye’s past work, but this and the mixtape are getting so much undeserved hype. i think it’s because this year has been fairly weak for hip-hop.
June 3rd, 2007 at 10:53
Fan vad trött att jobba med Thom Yorke och Justice. Tröttaste ligan i stan typ..
June 3rd, 2007 at 14:07
I must say that I like Daft Punks original best. I haven’t fallen for Kanye yet…
June 3rd, 2007 at 17:26
kanye’s mixtape is fire too
June 3rd, 2007 at 18:33
kill the radio guy
June 3rd, 2007 at 22:01
This song isn’t wack because he ‘jacks’ Daft Punk its wack because the beat is just a loop and it sounds only boring. The synths are not that good either. Whatever, itll probably be a hit. My question is what is a radio rip? Digital radio or over-the-air? How do people record it?
June 4th, 2007 at 00:22
Nope. Kanye is overrated, period. He hardly was going for the obscure sample crowd when he ripped Curtis was he? He cried like a baby at the MTV Eurpoe VMA’s and made a fool out of himself and again embarrassed the hip hop genre when everyone was claiming he was the saviour. There are saviours out there. He just wants to make some quick $$$$. He’s a pop star/pop act. God only knows why A-Trak agreed to be his DJ. Oh, hang on… I’ve got it. $$$$!!!!

HOORAY FOR KANYE!!!
June 4th, 2007 at 14:58
Daft Punk, Kanye and Jon Brion all produced this track. Kanye asled Daft Punk to rework the song for him and are even putting them in his video.

HAMBURGLER!! WHERE DID YOU GO!!!
June 6th, 2007 at 00:38
Guys from Belgium, The Dirty Jos Soundsystem, are specialised in “Live Mashing”, they mash songs live, using 2 records, 2 cd’s, or a record and a cd. They mashed up Kanye’s track with Daft Punk’s original a few days ago. I have a set-rip of this piece:

Hope you like it, and if you don’t, that’s also okay :).

blunted soul has this without dj in cd quality now!

June 8th, 2007 at 21:38
fuck all you haters… Kanye is the shit and you all know it. this song is badass and the beat is incredible.
June 9th, 2007 at 00:26
^ Agree. Swizzy might have done it first but Kanye’s made a great pop record using a vaguely cool left-of-center sample which is what Daft Punk is for 95% of the people who are gonna hear this record for the first time on mainstream radio and MTV. Most of them are not necessarily gonna know this source material at all.
June 9th, 2007 at 18:24
can someone RE-UP the mixtape…it been deleted :(
