A friend who saw uffie’s set at Sonar said she was dragged off stage after 5 minutes because she was too wasted to perform….

The Mehdi set made up for Uffie’s debaucle…
Feadz’ back-up and the Ed Banger clan’s remixes really made Uffie’s fortune…
It’s never been about her talent…
Shit even French designer Fafi has tried her hand at a vocal remix or two…
Gotta say that I’d much rather hear Uffie than some bullshit by Rhianna or
The Shitty Cat Dolls, you know whut I’m fockin’ sayin’??

Uffie gets REALLY nervous before performing live, so much like Winehouse or Allen she needs to have a few before she can go on stage. She’s a very sweet girl and usually wins you over if you see her live. And of course, as a million people have pointed out, her poor flow/rapping is more or less intentional.

dam, i’m have to admit it… this is really bad, she sounds MAD drunk(wasted? or something). i’d be disappointed if i paid $$ and took my day to go see this. i hope some one talks to her and she straightens out because i actually like some of her songs and i know she could have done a LOT better. props to MR. Feadz though he was definitely rocken the spot

Then what’s it about??
Frank says:

Uffie was very very nervour before going on that stage so she got wasted.
Here is an example of how good she can be as a live performer:
http://dailymotion.alice.it/video/x2a3md_uffie-live-a-la-villette
and this should shut you up…
ian says:
June 26, 2007 at 07:28
Watched it. Doesn’t shut me up. She comes across as marginally less mediocre than she does on record and the crowd seemed to be trying really hard to convince themselves that they are seeing a great show and having a good time. Face it though: homegirl is not good. Chick-fronted electro club-rap is not an inherently bad idea in of itself but the artists who seem to be most celebrated in this ‘scene’ so far are pretty terrible. Bring back Fannypack?!
Frank says:
June 27, 2007 at 16:25
Well Ian, a crowd of 15 year old kids crowd surfing in a park on a Paris sunday afternoon is not exactly what I would use as an example…
It was a good performance and the voice was good. Take that to Sonar and then you have a good one there.
Oizo & Pedro docet…
