Duke Dumont

Another Discobelle favorite. This track has been a staple in our dj-sets for some time now, Duke Dumont straight up kills it with “Lean & Bounce” and it’s great to get you pumped for some weekend fun. His debut EP “Regality” was just released last week on Turbo Recordings and it’s a must have in your collection.

hey duke, i just PURCHASED your ep, and it’s awesome. thomas von party gave me a cd-r in miami that had lean & bounce on it. it almost sounded like it was extracted from a live dj set er somethin’…?

    Hey Heather..

    There’s a reason for that :)

I had a bet with someone who gave me a CD compilation, which was “Incredible:Sounds Of Trevor Nelson”, from 1997..It had the most plastic, unorginal hip hop around on it..The bet was to sample as much of the CD as possible..So everything on Lean & Bounce apart from the lead synth, and bassline, are taken from this CD..

So yep, I won the bet! :)

p.s. if anyone thinks all i can do is sample, listen to Final Level!

    Hey Duke,

Don’t know if you’re reading this blog still… but I ordered the regality ep back in june when it looked like a june release date. i chilled out cause i saw the release date got pushed back. but it’s now july 31… your 12″ has been out for almost 2 weeks, and no sign of it whatsoever and the turbo recordings customer service email just bounces.

i know it’s not your problem. i’d rather have you focusing on music than customer service. but if you talk to anyone at turbo, let ‘em know that i won’t be ordering from their online store ever again. and since the 12″ is sold out everywhere else, i’m going to have to settle for a damn mp3. the vinyl purist in me is heartbroken.

keep up the good work tho. your tunes slay every dancefloor i’ve played them on.

    Hi Mertz..

Sorry to hear about the trouble with getting the vinyl..

Intially, the release date was put back, which was out of my control..

From what i know, the vinyl has sold-out, and re-prints are being made at the moment..

Thanks for buying the vinyl, its the only way im gonna make any money from this, and i’m very sorry about the mishap..If I actually had it on vinyl, i’d send it to you, but even I dont have a copy! :)

Drop me a myspace message, and i’ll send you a promo of my next EP, which will drop around late Sept/Oct..

Mertz… my apologies on behalf of Turbo… we’ll be moving to a whole new ecomm / shipping solution when we relaunch our website in a couple of months… but I understand your frustration… send me an email with your address and info to info@turborecordings.com and I’ll try to help you out.

As for all you blogshitz… it’s great to get shit for free, but you’re killing small labels, just so you know… at least the artists benefit from the exposure and will get better gigs as a result… small labels just get crushed… luckily we aren’t in it for the $$$

    oh and hello DUKE!!

in the states sometimes the blogs are the only way to get this stuff. I paid for duke dumonts regality ep but thats one of the few of his caliber I was actually able to purchase. As a dj i cant wait for this stuff to get released in the us. I’ll buy it all when it comes out, but until then it’s going into my sets for free I suppose.
