This is really weak in my humble opinion. It sounds like you are trying to make this baltimore juke remix and it just falls flat. Like no one would footwork to this.

The rapping is dope, so I would keep that but up the bpm to like 145, push the drums harder, drop the bmore break, add more toms, keep the sample if you set on it, but basicaly this is juke on lean.

Get at me when your ready.

Being from Chicago I know this track will kill it on the dance floor. I just got downloaded it and will rock it out this evening as a matter of fact. I like the beat as Mano put some straight soul in it. It is not a cold / machine sounding beat. The idea of taking a juke style track and having it a bit slower is something that steps outside of the genre norm and I fully support progression like that.

I guarantee that people would footwork to this as it would be a welcomed change from 150bpm. We will find out at the end of August when Juke-it-Palooza hits SmartBar…. See you then Godfather!

Get at me I am from Chicago, and I ride for Juke to the fullest, we swaped myspaces about putting out a record with you but you were also talking with Throne of Blood at the time and I never heard back.

    flaminhotzrecords[at]gmai[dot]com

    get at me

If you read my orignal post you will see that its not really greasy and it dosen’t say anything about you not knowing about Juke. Its more about the song structure and overall production and not an attack on you. My fav Juke shit is all stuff done by Deeon, Slugo, Funk, Dj Skip, Dj Flip, Debo, Nephets, Clent, DJ Chip so maybe I am biased to slower Juke shit but even those records I think need to be pushed up to 150 to really Juke It (yeah I am nuts). The bmore influence or the first two drum hits off the think break really takes away from what I consider the cornerstone of great Juke records, the bass line and tom toms. The only time I have heard a good juke remix with a bmore break in it is the Funk record called “Work That Body”, don’t quote me on this since I am not at my house and not with my records for me to double check. But it has the doo doo brown break in it with a bunch of Chicago Chants and then a killer tom break down. I can scan it and rip for you to refference but its still not as good “Let Me Bang” or “Chicken Headz” which are some of my favs.

I think with more work this could be a killer track but it has to be above 125 bpm since thats bmore territory.

Who did the rapping on that shit though. Its good.
