SebastiAn is back

SebastiAn returns after some time with the new track “Untitled”, that’s supposedly off his upcoming album on Ed Banger. It starts off kind of smooth with a slow steady beat and handclaps, then a nasty guitar line kicks in and you get more of that familiar dark electro sound that SebastiAn is known for.

sounds like it belongs on the “Smoking Kills” 12″ – the album better bring more heat than this boring little exercise…

bad produced? you must be joking.
just because this isnt a full on banger from the beginning till the end?

I just made a light edit/blend of this with a Hurricane Chris track, over at my blog if anyone’s curious..

i think you really have to have an ear for electro to hear the differences in production between this track and his others. i’m still discovering french electro, so this stuff all sounds the same to me atm.

still, i have to recognize his prod skills.

I like this track.. and I no it will grow on me even more
It’s very much like walkman.. in the way it’s almost walking music..
But like walkman, I hope he pulls a remix he’s made of it out for live sets..

I’m seeing him at Eclectric, london on the 26th..
    Cant wait!!!

  • turtleneck says:

That was cool, but not that cool.

  • Hunt says:

    October 2, 2007 at 16:50

It’s very similar to Rainbow Man by Busy P in that it’s a slow moving yet hard hitting track. I love it and played right in a mix it could go off, but you’d have to know how to mix it in and out (and what songs) for it to really have a good effect on the crowd.
I can’t even imagine how good the album will be!

    Cheers,
    Hunt.

hmmm this track its just a music exercise,no more than that
anyhow sebastian is a veeery good producer with tight tracks, sometimes he does well and sometimes not

  • Raymundo says:

    October 5, 2007 at 18:58

    ah ok
I didnt know anything about a 12″ edit of Greel..if its really different I would love to hear it
    :)

sebastiAn is at his best when he is dirty and decadent, and this wasnt so dirty. nothing like the ross ross madness. that faeceoffremix (or what its called) is the best ive heard of sebastiAn ive heard lately.
sebastian is the best of the ed banger crew though, in terms of production (mehdi is by far the best dj).

  • Melli says:

I like this track very much, and am impressed with flufftronix mash-up
not as dirty as sebastian’s other tracks, but still wonderful to listen to. Love love love the familiar distortion.
