This leaked a couple of days ago but we slept a little on it.

Anyway, we’re big fans of Feist here at Discobelle and we think it’s kinda cool that Kanye & Twista decided to sample her track “Gatekeeper”. The track – “Well It’s Time” – is a bonus track lifted off the new Twista album “Adrenaline Rush 2007″. It features Twista rapping fast as usual, unfortunately it sort of clashes a bit with the sweet voice of Feist but it’s still good.

Our man Tittsworth is a solid provider of all things banging. He just gave us the excellent B-more track “Fat Bottom Girl” which is done by DC producer/dj Dave Nada and it’s taken from his newly released “Kick Out The Jams EP”. Here, Mr Nada uses both Queen and the Ying Yang Twins to create a track that’s a far cry from your run of the mill B-more remix and it will most certainly destroy on the dancefloor.

BONUS: Here’s Dave Nadas mix for the In-Deed show on XMU Radio.

Our good friend down in Germany, Shir Khan, has a new mixcd out, “MAXIMIZE!” will be the first double mixcd on his own label Exploited.

Here’s what’s been said about the album: “MAXIMIZE! is straddling the lines between electro, baile funk, new wave, techno and punk. It’s all the mess & mayhem of nightlife packaged into a double disc of never-ending strobing bliss. 49 tracks with exclusives from Simian Mobile Disco, Sirius Mo, Adam Sky vs Mark Stewart (The Popgroup), Munk vs Mocky, Justice vs Spektrum, Sergej Auto vs Edu K, Captain Comatose, Free Blood. Plus remixes from Sinden, Jesse Rose, Surkin, Switch, Digitalism etc”.

To promote the release we got this teaser:

Bloody Congorock

We got an e-mail today from italian Congorock. It contained this track he just did with fellow countrymen The Bloody Beetroots. The Bloody Beetroots have been churning out some ultra-heavy electro tunes lately and this is by no means an exception. The track opens with some repetetive vocals that goes on to chanting “…hands in the air”, then a siren along with a thumping bass and some fast drumming kicks in. This should make any crowd lose control!

It’s been a great week so far with Swedish music and it just keeps on coming. We got this exclusive track in the mail today.

This remix by new Swedish tech-house duo Boeoes Kaelstigen of the Familjen hit track “Det Snurrar I Min Skalle”, strips the vocals and turns the electropop of the original into a track that with its sweeping and haunting melody feels more suited for clubs in Berlin. If you want to hear more from Boeoes Kaelstigen they just released their debut EP “Pan European” that also features a remix from B-Pitch king Tomas Andersson.

Flagrant Fowl

Sep 25 2007

Promo video for the upcoming folk/indie remix project “Tambourine Dream” by our good friends in Flagrant Fowl (Cousin Cole and Pocketknife). The album will drop next month and in the meantime here’s a link to their radio apparance on East Village Radio last week. And here is the playlist for the show.

Cuz Cole said: “We got drunk in the studio, fucked around and played lots of new exclusives”. Sounds pretty good, eh?
