New PJU remixes (exclusive)

Another fine treat from our parisian friends in Kitsuné.

Punks Jump Up are one of our favorite dj/production teams, not just because they’re some of the nicest guys around but also because they keep on putting out excellent remixes aswell as doing their own banging tracks. We don’t really know how David and Joe find the time to do it all (since they do quite alot of dj’ing all over the place) but we’re happy to see that they’re getting the attention they deserve.

Today we offer you three remixes (yep, that’s right) and they’re all going to knock your socks off. First out is their remix of the track “City” from Swedens finest electro/boyband duo Lo-Fi Fnk, then we have the remix of french electropop princess Yelle who will be releasing her “A Cause Des Garcons” 12inch soonish and finally their stomping remix of the infectious track “Go Mr Sunshine” by british singer Remi Nicole. Enjoy!

Todosantos (Cousin Cole remix)

Our good friend Cousin Cole just dropped this in our mailbox and once again he delivers a banging remix (y’all remember that Soulja Boy remix?). This is his remix of Brooklyn by the way of Venezuela group Todosantos, it’s a full-blown acid-disco joint with cowbells, sirens, squealchy synths and whispered vocals. This is off the Acid Girlzzz EP that was just released by the great label Flamin Hotz Records.

Klaxons vs. Justice

We’ve got more goodness from the land of electro today.

This has been talked about for quite some time and now it’s finally here. The Justice boys adds some french finesse to the Klaxons track “As Above, So Below”. Not nearly as raw as previous efforts from the frenchmen but more in the discoish vein of their recent hit single “D.A.N.C.E”.

More new stuff from Daft Punk, this is taken from their forthcoming live album and “Harder Better Faster Stronger (Alive 2007)” is a keeper.

Clover Geez

Monday, October 15th, 2007

So, you all tired of Soulja Boy yet? I guess we’re gonna have to live with him for a while more. No. 1 on Billboard and now we get tunes with Soulja Boy samples in them. Here is one from Tha Essay Potna. Who dat? He is in Lil Flip’s crew Clover Geez. Lil Flip? Yeah, that boy who lost a beef to T.I. T.I.? Yeah, we know ATF raided his ass.

Detect

Our friends at up and coming Swiss label Mental Groove Records have some great stuff lined up. We recieved this track from the talented french producer Detect a while back but have been sitting on it for some time. No need to keep you in the dark anymore, Detect is someone you should keep an eye on, especially since his “Dance Division EP” (that also includes a remix by Blende) is dropping this week (in a double release with this on Corso Fleuri Records) and it’s a fullfledged dancefloor bomb. We proudly present you with the remix from our friend Yuksek that turns the housey melodic feel of the original version into a menacing electro track.
