Radioclit in Malmö

Those fine lads in Radioclit are coming to Malmö tonight for a much anticipated gig at I Love. They have consistently been producing and remixing top tunes + doing some amazing mixes and podcasts. They go major on this remix of the Mika track “Lollipop” with that double time beat, incorporating steel drums along with maracas + some other crazy stuff makes this into something on a next level tip. We received the instrumental version but there’s a vocal version too so grab that record when it drops.

Take it easy

We wrote about Ken’s new street single a couple of weeks ago. A couple of days ago the Swedish star version (direct link) leaked on Aftonbladet. Now it is time for the American verison with Joell Ortiz, Steele (SMIF N WESSUN), Jojo Pellegrino and Joel & Proof from D-12 (R.I.P).

KEN RING - Ta Det Lugnt (US remix) (Sendspace)

And here is the Norwegian verison (ft. Madcon, The Loudmouf Choir, Fali a.k.a Jesse Jones och A-Lee).

Our friends over at Fabric just gave us this mix by James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem & DFA fame) and Pat Mahoney. They recently released the mixcd “Fabriclive #36″ which we hope didn’t pass you by since it’s pretty excellent. This is stream only but we think you’ll enjoy it.

Pocketknife mega post

We’ve got a little bit of a treat for you today. Four brand spankin’ new remixes from our buddy Pocketknife. The r ‘n b singstress Alica Keys sees Scooby messing around with her track “No One” and going all housey on it and then “She’s The Star” from disco legend Arthur Russell gets an update (props to Panda Toes, taken from the Flagrant Fowl release, “Tougher Than Featherz”). Then Scooby dug up his X-mas banger “Linus and Lucy” from last year and did a little touch up and finally we have a beautiful “Spanish Psych gypsy” remix of the Kenneth Bager track “Les Fleur” (official remix that came out on a multi-disc Music For Dreams promo. It features Clint Brewer on upright bass and Shelly Bauer on bassoon).

Game, set and match to Mr Pocketknife!

Crookers - Timbo edit (exclusive)

The Crookers boys do it again! We dropped this at our latest gig in Stockholm and people went apeshit.

The Timbaland track “The Way I Are” has been remixed by quite a few people already but we’re wondering if Crookers isn’t the top contender. They turn on the works and tweak the track into a fullfledged cut up ghetto/fidget house bomb. This remix edit was just released on a bootleg single called “Timberland Boots” together with a track from their fellow countrymen in The Bloody Beetroots (which can be found over at the excellent blog Disco Dust).
