    I live about 2 minutes away from the diner in that picture! I’m sure when the epynonymous song became a hit in the early ’90s, a lot of jokes were made, but I was merely 4 years old then, so I missed out on the fun.

    The place is still there, albeit closed, and with a new sign. I just found out while typing this that it was where they filmed Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.” Neat.

    Wikipedia tells me the song’s named after Tom’s Diner in Manhattan, aka the Seinfeld diner. Just throwin’ that out there.

    You are correct. Wrong diner in the picture. The right one is Tom’s Diner on 112 and Broadway, whose exterior is famous from Seinfeld (that’s the one I live 2 minutes away from), and which is actually “Tom’s Restaurant.” More on it here:
