Santogold (XXXChange remix)

Yep, Santogold looks to be just as blogged in 2008 as she was last year. This has been all over the blogs today but it’s too good to pass up.

Forget about those Myspace rips floating around, here is “L.E.S Artistes” in all its 320 kbps glory. We absolutely love Santis distinctive voice, even though this remix by XXXChange doesn’t deter too much from the original but he does manage add some extra flair to it with drums and a bleepy synth taking over from the guitar based original version.

Santogold – L.E.S Artistes (XXXChange remix) (zShare)

BONUS: Just got this from 51:51, it’s the minimix Martelo did for Santogold on the Annie Mac show.

this remix made me finally sit down and google the lyrics. you can tell she’s been around and been through it…

i love that mature artists like santi are getting their due, cause im getting so tired of hollow club tracks. 2008 should b the return of the “song”

alexxx continues to turn out really cool, exploratory mixes. i think the noise on the second verse gets in the way, and there’s moments where the bass sounds atonal, but i kinda like it.

    dope fucking song.

I think she’s a great singer. She’s a great songwriter too. the melodies are crazy. understandably it’s not gonna be everybody’s cup of tea, but refreshing nonetheless. nobody is doing what she’s doing. yeah yeah yeahs? I don’t see it. but I could see how an uneducated ear would say that. you need to come with some better references than that. This remix is great. I think I dig it a little more than the original. good job XXXChange.
