Crystal Castles – Magic Spells (first official video)

“Magic Spells” is the first official video for Crystal Castles (the “Air War” video that we posted a while back was in fact rejected back in 2006). The self-titled debut album from the Toronto based “8 Bit Terror” duo will be released on March 18th.

Talk about mystery single choice! How on earth did they decide to pick that dull piece of filler over their brilliant punky material?

wtf?! That is not cool! Why would my lovely crystal castles do such a thing! Poor guy was just trying to catch some z’s. Their official album is exactly the same as the advance by the way, except a few tracks are in different order. just reorder your tracks and you got it. Damn homeless killers!

Might be an official video, but it’s not really a “music video” seeing as it’s an extremely short version of “Magic Spells” (one of my fav CC songs), and is mainly serving as a promo for the release date. More of a commercial really; could be a TV spot if they decided (and were allowed) to air it. The content, honestly, isn’t shocking considering the subject matter of the lyrics of some CC tracks.
