THE EIGHTFOUR EIGHTFIVE

the 84.85 is an electro hip-hop duo from Toronto with a a “classic “he’s the DJ and I’m the rapper” scenario”. Cassius and Jay Bones say that they are bored with how hip hop is sounding today and are trying out a different sound. They have just released a self-titled three song EP ’8485′. It is not groundbreaking but it is alright. I would love to hear some remixes on this.

    beats are interesting, energizing and fresh
    lyrics, rhymes and voice are decent but seem pushed and unnatural
    rapper seems like hes tryin too hard to be somethin he aint
    there’s potential the feel is all wrong
