wow. sorry to hear it. my site is also on dreamhost, and i’ve been updating like a champ the past few days.
if you’re in their standard shared-server environment, i’d write to their support/sales staff and ask about being moved to a different server.
if you’ve got a dedicated server, i’d be bitching up a storm.
either way, hit me up and let me know if you can’t get any resolution. if it happens to one customer (as big as you are), it can happen to any…

Honestly, get out of there. The internal server errors come from the private server plan you have and not allocating enough memory and CPU space. They just fucking take your site down when it consumes too much. Go to mediatemple.com I promise you will be 90000x happier and never have bandwidth or uptime issues. I don’t work for them. i am just a web guy who has been through this a lot of times.

I fuck dreamhost too! They disabled my account without any reasonable explanation. They just said you did spamdexing or black hat seo. But I swear I didn’t do such thing. I’ve never performed any action that may be called unethical. I think they disabled because of the high volume of visitors that my web sites get. Still waiting for a reasonable explanation!
Fuck you dreamhost! F U C K Y O U ! ! !
