Aeroplane – Flying mix

This has probably been on a bunch of blogs already but it’s been our obsession for a few days now. Belgian group Aeroplane brings us a beautiful mix filled with italo/disco/balearic goodness that makes us drift away. This is an accurate description: “Think psyché guitars, pop keys, melancholic waves and catchy bass lines meets disco beats”. This is perfect for lazy weekends.

Check out for their third 12″ release “Whispers” that was just released this month along with a debut album later in 2008 and remixes for Lindström, Cut Copy etc.

Aeroplane – Flying Mix (zShare)

TRACKLIST:

Discodromo : ‘Cosmorama’ – Brennan Green Dromo Arigato Mix (Internasjonal promo)
Tensnake : ‘Tavira’ (Force Of Nature promo)
David Rubato : ‘Circuit’ – Aeroplane Mix (Institubes promo)
Elitechnique : ‘Elektric Evening’ (Clone)
Sally Shapiro : ‘I’ll Be Your Side’ – Tensnake Remix (Permanent Vacation promo)
Naughty : ‘World of A Woman’ – Max Skiba Remix (Mood Music)
Lindstrom & Solale : ‘Baby I Can’t Stop’ – Aeroplane Mix (Feedelity promo)
Cusato : ’30-60-90′ – Club Remix (Music Control)
Wild Rumpus : ‘Purple Somersault’ – Prins Thomas Diskomiks (Bitches Brew)
Force Of Nature : ‘Transmute’ – Still Going Remix (Force Of Nature promo)

Heartache (Lifelike remix)

This remix of the Heartache track “Don’t Stop” starts out more menacing than it will sound later on. Lifelike brings in some harsher electro sounds in the beginning but then lets beautiful swirling synths take over. Check out the “Don’t Stop EP” (includes a Kris Menace remix) that was just released on OMG Recordings.

Pulling Teeth

Pulling Teeth out of Milan is part of the steadily growing electro/house/club scene in Italy with cohorts such as Crookers, The Bloody Beetroots, 3 Is A Crowd etc. They first made a splash with the “New Era” track and now they’re back with “Mask”. This track has some bleepy bits but manages to stay on course thanks to a steady, pumping rhytm. There’s also a sweet guitar break. Another italian duo to watch out for!

Wale – W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E (video)

Kid Cudi – Spazz + The Biggest Grinder

We love that Crookers remix of the Kid Cudi track “Day N’ Nite” with it’s wobbly bass contrasting the mellow rapping. Here’s two new tracks from the upcoming mixtape “a Kid named Cudi” (this looks it will be the bomb, we posted the video trailer a few days ago). “Cudi Spazzin” is over the brand new NERD single “Spazz” while “The Biggest Grinder” sees him take over Rick Ross & T-Pains “Boss”. Mixin’ It Up: Boeoes Kaelstigen

New Mixin’ It Up done by Boeoes Kaelstigen. Look out for their release of a new 12” from Adrian Recordings this fall. The sequel to the last 12” “Pan European”, will include 2 originals and 2 remixes. The remixes are made of the 2 best and most accomplished tweakers around. Over to Jacob Åström:

Adam by Charles Gudagafva is six and a half minutes long. During these six and a half minutes you will get to truly know your parents. Because right now, you don’t. E-mail them in exactly the same manner you would e-mail your friends, and see if the relationship between you and the two people who created you is worth hanging on to, or if it is time for you to discard it.

Jupiter Calling by Thomas Schwartz, eight and half minutes of bliss, is included to make sure you eat healthy. If your fridge is filled with bad cholesterol and dirty sugar, now is the time to plan for your new life. You must create your own müsli, which is not hard, but easy, and worth it.

Kaleido (Mango Tokyo Monorail Mix) is seven minutes and fourteen seconds for you to book a train ticket to the opposite of where you think you are, or should be, going. Get on the train. Leave.

Ringin’ feat Andrue Cavaco (Dumb Dan Dub) by Patrick L and Andrue Cavaco will provide the perfect, steady, seven minute müsli making beat.

Listen to the eight minutes and six seconds that is Nails by Dousk and for god’s sake, pluck your eyebrows; you look like an animal, which is never good other than in Nine Inch Nails song titles, if you’re into that kind of music, or aesthetics. Now take a moment to breathe. After all, you’re not quite sure where the train is taking you. But you look good, eyebrows freshly plucked, and with either a failed or elevated child-parent relationship in the foreseeable future.

It is time for No Sudden Moves by Glenn Morrison, six minutes and a few seconds long. Let’s break some records. Run from one end of the train to the next. Then do it again, but faster.

Capture your breath to Beyond The Shadows (Moonbeam Remix) by Lens, it’s close to seven minutes long so feel free to get catch some powernap time aswell.

You will wake up to the sweet, sweet sound of success, of the millions of dollars that is Cern by Boeoes Kaelstigen. Extending the theme of money, you will sell your bonds, your stocks and deposit it all in the account connected to your VISA. You will do that with the help of the internet, and the magnificent service that is your specific internet bank. You feel prepared but not yet ready.

Goritown by Presslaboys takes on where Cern left off, giving you seven and a half minutes to figure out how to make use of all this energy the eight previous tasks has given you. You will think, and think hard.

Crazy People (D-Nox & Beckers Remix) by Logiztik Soundsis the final seven minutes you need to make a decision.

As the 50 second Outro slowly fades out, you nod to noone in particular, and jump out from the moving train. Uncertain if you will land, and where, if any of the two, you regret only one thing: talking to your parents as if they were your equals, something they never will nor can be; this is clear to you now, and wasn’t before, and you have regrets, but it’s too late for that, and you know it.”

Mixtape instructions written by Jacob Åström, avid fan, part of Boeoes Kaelstigen’s live visual studio Herb Wilson, not very tall, but with a positive attitude towards height.

Drop The Lime mix

Drop The Lime AKA Curses! is in the forefront of new club music and he’s one of hardest working producers/remixers out there. He’s involved with the Trouble & Bass label, almost constantly on tour and inbetween gigs churning out some of the best bass heavy tracks we’ve heard. Here’s his latest offering, the “Bass For Golden Pudels” mix.

Donnis – L.O.V.E

We first heard ATL rapper Donnis when he put out that “Party Works” track and since then he’s really popped off. DJ Benzi has taken him under his wing which basically means that huge things are on the way. Benzi gave us the latest single “L.O.V.E” which was produced by The Trackoholiks.
