Ladyhawke – Paris Is Burning (video)

“Paris Is Burning was written while the wounds from a delirious weekend of assaults on the senses on the River Seine were still fresh, Paris Is Burning is an outrageously fun, footloose summer jam that mixes tumbling drum fills, cheeky, melodic piano and vocal interplay, and an uplifting, whimsical chorus to euphoric effect. The clip is directed by great Dane Casper Balslev (director of Presets – The Boy’s In Love), the Paris Is Burning video is a visually arresting, sublimely energetic romp around the streets featuring Pip and a white wolf”.

Go here for the Alex Gopher remix that we posted about a month ago and don’t forget to check out the single and debut album when they drop on Modular Records on August 23rd and September 13th.

Scott Cooper – South Rakkas Crew bootleg

DJ Scott Cooper out of London did this bootleg remix of South Rakkas Crew track “Mad Again” to promote his upcoming North American tour which kicks off next week. Yeah, we know there’s been a ton of remixes by some heavyweight names of this track already but hey one more remix/edit won’t kill us. Scott goes into more of a fidgety direction with this rework and will surely find its way into dj-sets.

Sebastien Tellier – Donovan remix

Sebastien Tellier and his label Record Makers just inked a deal with American Apparel, all while fellow countrymen in french electro/house Donovan (they were previously known as Killdahype) just did this a bit beefed up remix of his track “Sexual Sportswear”. It features a pretty wicked lingering synth line.

Dmitry Fyodorov #6

“This is the 6th track and the June credit of the ongoing series of terror that Dmitry Fyodorov throws at us every 29th of 2008. What began last month with the snarling “Warcollapse!” continues here. This is the second installation of Dmitry Fyodorov’s special theme series celebrating some great landmarks of time and the spirit of keeping it on the wrong side of train tracks. “Anti Cimex” tells the story of when the day dreamy, night living transformer Getsuei meet Strelnikov and his red train and they form an alliance to take over the world by train.”

Me And My Sneakers

No one could have missed that A-Trak got a new Nike+ mix out. Yesterday A-Trak dropped the track with Lupe Fiasco that was originally was recorded for the mix but then was replaced with the same track but with Kid Cudi.

Here are both versions so that you can decided who did the best job with the track.

Mars (Dave Nada Hood Mix)

If you have been to a show with Dave Nada lately you probably heard him play this edit already. He tells me that it has been killing it every were he’s been playing and I believe him, this is great.

Munk

The second remix package from Munk‘s single “Live Fast Die Old”. This time you get remixes from Ed Bangers All Stars, Whomadewho and The Amazing Clay. I like the version from the baile-funk legend The Amazing Clay best so that’s the one we are giving out. Travis from Big Stereo got another track from the release for you and if you like it and want it all go here or here to buy it.

Shilo Presents: Sinden

The third installment in the Shilo Presents series just hit the internet.

It was always going to be hard to compete with the 2 previous DJ mixes in the series (large up Pretty Titty, Chris Devlin) but i managed to surpass them (haha jokes!). Nah serious that’s too bold a claim, but I am happy with how it turned out. Its a fair representation of some of the jams i’m playing in my club sets right now. And the mix is very ‘right now’. As I write this, none of the tracks have been released yet. Not that I just play dubs, mind. I draw loads of old and familiar tunes, too, because that would be dumb and who cares how exclusive you are anyhow. I really wanted the mix to be a kinda preview to a whole bunch of stuff to get excited about in the forthcoming months. It was a good place to air some new productions fresh out the HD (machines dont care, the count and sinden) and big up a few new cats too (rude kid, detboi, mujava). Enjoy!
