DropBox

Got skillz?

We got a new system for receiving tracks from you guys. If you look to the right you see the DropBox (made posible by the good folks at Soundcloud), just click that and upload the track you want us to listen to/or post. If we like your stuff, we’ll put it on the site.

Go here to upload tracks to us. Don’t forget to write a little something about the track, who you are, where to contact you and your MySpace or whatever you use. Please don’t send us mash-ups or remixes of songs that been out for more then two weeks, and only send mixes if they have something new to offer.

Here are two tracks from people who already found the DropBox.

First track is from Johnny Penn and Aaron Aujla from bikini who sent us one of their songs. A sweet pop song that works great with the summer.

bikini – I Remember Being Young (direct link)

Second one is a new track from Tuff Wheelz. He only gave us his MySpace page and I’m too lazy to check it out (don’t forget to introduce yourself), but I liked his song.

Fast Life

Clipse, who happens to be faves here at Discobelle HQ, just dropped new track “Fast Life” on an unsuspecting internet. Handclaps, a bouncy sample and the usual swagger from Malice and Pusha T makes us hungry for more from the duo. (Thanks to one of our favorite magazines, The Fader via Blender)

PS. For our danish and southern Sweden peeps, we’re playing at the excellent Club For Heroes @ Rust in Copenhagen tomorrow. Hope to see you there!

The Black Ghosts – Diplo remix

British electro duo The Black Ghosts have a new EP out, it’s entitled “Repetition Kills You” and that’s where this quite mellow and stripped down remix by Diplo is taken from.

Rico Tubbs – Gangsters (exclusive)

Finnish producer/dj Rico Tubbs provide us with a special edit of his much anticipated track “Gangsters” which is taken off his “Knuckle Sandwich” album that drops June 30th on Menu Recordings. The track is a fidget house number and features a wobbly bassline along with massive breakdowns and he incorporates stabbing ravey synths + some ghetto vocals to make this a true banger.

Steed Lord Hospital remix

The Icelandic electro/ghetto outfit Steed Lord have had a rough couple of months since their involvement in a nasty car crash. They all seem to have recovered well which we’re thankful for. They just sent us this latest remix of the DJ Sam Young track “Peep This” which they did while in the hospital. It’s another great party/dance effort from the Steed Lorders and it will be sweet when heard in a full club environment.
