MGMT – Kids (Tronik Youth Shr-edit)

While we eagerly await the Soulwax remix of the track “Kids” by NYC duo MGMT, this edit is bound to hold us over until the Belgian brothers finish their remix. Tronik Youth shreds the original with some added drums/swooshes/effects and then chops up the rest.

    mmmmmm tyler fedchuck’s lame
just tinny vocal with casio beat over
    not really vamped it up
may as well play the original

the soulwax remix actually just has been finished
they finished it yesterday morning at 5 am according to their interview on studio brussels, where they also played a little part of the final version :)

Think the original wins it here. Some guys (Laston & Geo in courtesy of the ptnotr blog) made a dj friendly edit of it. My choice when i play it at the dancefloor.

I put up one a while back that I’ve gotten good feedback on. It notches up the dance factor some and gives it a little variety… Its no soulwax remix, but its a bit more dancey and interesting then just dropping the original:
