Still wanted by The BPA!

The Toe Jam remix contest is coming to a close on the 1st of January 2009, so there is only a couple of more days to enter. Bring That Lead Back

Malente got a new release called “Bring That Lead Back” coming out on Southern Fried Records soon (check the video). You can get it as a pre-release from beatport on Monday so that you can rock it at your Christmas party. If you can’t wait that long, Malente sent us this mix so that you have something to listen to until Monday.

This is kind of a long way from what we usually post. But we are big Justus Köhncke fans so we couldn’t resist this and since it’s Christmas time this could be a great gift for someone in your family.

“Wolfgang Müller, founding member of the pioneering German art and music group Die Tödliche Doris (1981-1987), enlisted a long list of friends to recreate the calls of eleven extinct bird species. Their combined, exquisitely detailed efforts are now published on 7″ and cd, both with a 40 page book, by Swedish label Fang Bomb.

Besides Wolfgang Müller, the featured recreationist artists on this release are Justus Köhncke, Annette Humpe (Ich+Ich, Ideal, Neonbabies), Françoise Cactus & Brezel Göring (aka Stereo Total), Nicholas Bussmann (Kapital Band 1), Khan, Namosh, Frieder Butzmann, Max Müller, Hartmut Andryczuk, Frederik Schikowski and Icelandic actress Kristbjörg Kjeld.”

Hatchmatik from Montreal just did a tour in Asia, dropped by Sweden for a gig in Stockholm at Pom Pom and also finished this remix of that Teki Latex & Cuizinier banger “The Good Guys” (you might remember that crazy good video we posted about a week ago). As usual, Matt cranks it up a notch or should we say ten, giving the track a whole new frantic level of club destroying qualities which means you get handclaps, chopped up vocals, nasty synthstabs and a tough as nails beat.
