Bacardi B-Live in Rio featuring The Twelves

We went to Rio a couple of weeks ago to attend the B-Live party Bacardi was throwing. While we were there we got to hang out with the boys from The Twelves. Bacardi also tagged along, but since they are not slackers like us they brought a camera team with them. So here a the videos that was produced with The Twelves that week.

Bacardi also got The Twelves to do an interesting remix project with another group that was playing that party, Cicada. They remixed one of the others track and we got the results to premier to you. Enjoy the remixes and be sure to check out all the videos.

Ray Ban Glasses

We posted the clubby Les Gillettes remix of this excellent track back when the single dropped. Now, Le Corps Mince De Francoise gives us a pretty acoustic wintery version of “Ray Ban Glasses”.

Flosstradamus – Big Bills

First thing we’ve heard from the Flosstradamus boys for some time and it’s their first original track. “Big Bills” is a dancey synthpop jam with vocals from Caroline Polachek (of Chairlift).

Bersa Discos #4

Bersa Discos got a new release out since last week, “Bersa Discos #4″. The have gone in somewhat of a different direction for this one, for a label focusing on cumbia and other tropical sounds, and got tracks from Brooklyn DJ/producer Uproot Andy and Dutch producer Sonido del Principe.

They gave us a mp3 from the release called “La Vida Vale La Pena” and it’s by Uproot Andy. You might know him from his recent Guacharaca Migration mixtape. He’s also an unofficial cohort of DJ Rupture’s Dutty Artz collective. He got three tracks for “Bersa #4″, all of which sample classic Afro-Colombian tunes. This one samples a track from Petrona Martinez.

Go buy the record over at Turntable Lab.

If you are in San Francisco tomorrow be sure to visit their 1-Year Anniversary of their monthly Tormenta Tropical party. They got Heatwave coming out from London and Paul Devro from Mad Decent. It should be an amazing party.

Aviance – Smell Yo Dick (Mowgli rmx)

Just back from Aussi, touring with Carl Cox, Mowgli is back in the studio working like crazy. He sent us a remix of this R ‘n’ B joint from the summer turning it into a wobblyhousemonster. Together with his remix of Armand Van Heldens “Shake That Ass” and his upcoming killer track “Sequencer” he’s really the one to watch right now.

Boeoes Kaelstigen – Toppola

Our favorite Swedish techno outfit Boeoes Kaelstigen have garnered alot of attention this year with their previous releases of melodramatic techhouse. They just released a new EP on Koloni Records, it’s called “Toppola” and contains two new tracks. “Transpole” is a 7 minute ride of exactly what we’ve grown to love about Boeoes Kaelstigen. The track starts off with a slow clutter then the rolling rhythm starts and lures you in, transforming the track to a floating yet epic jam complete with synth stabs and a huge break.

The Big Pink & Delorean

Spanish quartet Delorean remixed their favourite new band: The Big Pink and made the track “Too Young To Love” into a warm and soothing electropop jam that feels suited for a day at the beach. They’re about to drop their debut EP on Fluokids related label Fool House, the EP will include 4 tracks and they promise a myriad of remixes.

Chin Chin (Eli Escobar remix)

This is a souped up funky remix by Eli Ecobar of the track “Toot D’Amor” from Brooklyn trio Chin Chin. They’re signed to Definitive Jux and just released their EP “Go There With You” but sound nothing like anything you heard on Definitive Jux in the past. Grab the rest of the EP for free over here.
