Pase Rock – Get Money Kids (Nacho Lovers remix)

Rapper Pase Rock + Canadian house maestros Nacho Lovers = pure gold. Not much left of the original track nor the vocals as the duo gives it a run through their remixing tumbler. It clocks in at over six minutes of bouncy goodness. Be sure to grab the “Get Money Kids/So Fucking Disco” EP and watch out for a Mixin’ It Up from the Nacho Lovers boys coming shortly.

Homies AC Slater, Udachi, and B. Rich started a new record label, Party Like Us Records, based out of Brooklyn, NY.

“The mission with Party Like Us is to release dancefloor friendly tracks that incorporate all kinds of classic dance music elements with a creative and original edge. Basically, we like heavy bass that pounds and drives the dancefloor.”

At the Discobelle HQ the obvious question was: Who doesn’t?

First out is AC Slater with the track that shares name with the label. The original surfaced on the internet already in 2007 but it gets a new life with brand new remixes from Udachi, The Bulgarian, Kanji Kinetic and Shy Child. They give away the original and the Udachi remix away for free and the rest you can pickup at Beatport on January 20th.

The Very Best – Kamphopo (official video)

This video from The Very Best boys is just what we needed to as a pick me up after the party we played last night together with Jamtech Foundation (they seriously slaughtered it, they’ll be doing it big in 2009).

“Esau Mwamwaya went back to Lelongwe, Malawi in October 2008 for the first time in 9 years. I came with him to play at the Lake Of Stars festival and to shoot this video and film his homecoming in general. We had a crazy respons from local press, radio and tv. we rehearsed at Lucius Banda’s famous ‘Summit’ venue for 3 days with local dancers. We went to see the live venue where Esau’s music career started ‘Village Lodge’, and we hung out with Esau’s family and their neighbours outside of Lelongwe. Most of the kids dancing in the video is Esau’s brothers and all their neighbours kids. They all new all the words by the time we got there, very cute! We played Lake Of Stars festival, which argubly might be the best festival in the world. Ive been meaning to edit all the material since then but havnt had time. Now ive finally manged to sit down and do it and hopefully you’ll like it and get a little bit of insight into what Esau Mwamwaya is up to in Malawi at the moment.”

Guns ‘n’ Bombs – Riddle of Steel

This new release from Kitsuné has been out for a while now but hit the blogs like crazy during the night and it was also featured on the Eric Valentine/The Superzeros mix that we posted the other day. “Riddle Of Steel” is the second original release from the the LA tagteam Johnny Love and Filip Turbotito that forms Guns ‘n’ Bombs and it’s a heavy electro bomb with some classic samples and breaks thrown in. Me like it!

Discobelle goes to Stockholm

Time to do a gig in Stockholm. We love to be back in the capital of Sweden again. This time we will be DJing with Jamtech Foundation at Grodan. So if you are in town, be sure to drop by and say hello. As always we will be updating our tour blog with pictures.
