DJ Pump – Sevonte Swang

Just had to share this wonderful mix from DJ Pump with you guys!

“This is a mix i put together that features some of my personal favorite tracks from the early 80′s club/dance era. You may call it funk, boogie, disco or whatever you prefer. It’s good music for your listening pleasure. Enjoy :)”

Lorenz Rhode

Exploited Records (operated by Shir Khan) coming at us with yet another fine release, the “Motor Cortex EP” (comes backed with remixes from London producers Mowgli & Solo + Ben Mono) from German producer Lorenz Rhode.

Lorenz Rhode is this former house kid who now makes music that sound a little something like this: “…Rick James dating Chaka Khan, dancing to Daft Punk and Technotronic, making sweet love to a Stevie Wonder ballad, when suddenly a group of German robots and a Yellow Magic Orchestra come rushing into the hotel suite and… they all decide to go to France instead.”

Inland Empire

Talented UK producer/remixer Friend was all over the blogs a few months back. Here’s his recent and oh so great remix of Peter, Bjorn And John track “Inland Empire”.

“…a dark weird tribal disco mix of their song “Inland Empire” from their latest album “Seaside Rock”. It’s got about 500 different instruments in it…”

Boss In Drama

Boss In Drama is a producer from Brazil who is working on some tracks for the upcoming Bonde Do Role album. He seems to have some solid connections in Australia aswell since he is producing tracks for KillaQueenz and for the new project of the girls from Gameboy/Gamegirl (called Girls Got Child). He’s going to release his debut EP “Your Favorite EP” for free on January 26th and this track “Favorite Song” gives us a taste of his brand of electropop.

Photonz – Discobelle House Jam and Dollop LDN party!

Photonz and I are gonna share turntables tonight at Dollop LDN! Get there, search me up and buy me a drink! The good Portuguese guys in Photonz made a special version of their track “No Fear” that’s out on the label Dissident. The track that’s exclusively made for us use the same sample but comes thru in a completely different way. Check out and buy the track “No Fear” at Juno or your local vinyl dealer!

Al Ripken Jr

We first took note of Al Ripken Jr when he did an EP with Curtis Vodka back in 2007. Things went a bit quiet for a while and then Grindin buddy Prince William shot us an e-mail with the tracks from Al’s new “Fo’ Da Cycle EP” which just pops off with playful and bumping b-more. We had a hard time choosing just one track to post but this track is basically just chopped up goodness that’s bound to make the ladies run to the dancefloor.
