The always amazing Krazy Fiesta just had remixes featured on two top class records, the first one was on the Kompakt released “Skate Attack” single by Norwegian disco prince + princess Skatebård/Annie and the second one on the “Street Jizz EP” from Kansas City group Ssion. Now one lucky winner will walk away with both of these singles, just e-mail us the answer to this question: What African city did Krazy Fiesta-Johan just live in for 6 months?

Today we celebrate Nathaniel Selfs birthday!! He is throwing a b-day bash in London tonight with a solid lineup! Congratulation homie! Sorry, I can’t be there today.

Zombie Disco Squad
and Solo did this banging mix to celebrate their new release on Dirty Bird. The EP is called “Congo Fire” and it came out yesterday on Beatport.

ZDS have also done some exclusive blends to encourage people to join their mailing list – basically you send a email to zdsmailinglist@gmail.com and get a auto reply with two blends/bootlegs. Members of their Facebook group are going to get an amazing exclusive very soon as well.

Solo is about to drop a new EP on Deadfish (Mowgli’s imprint) witch features remixes from Riva Starr & Nat Self – Solo has also done a remix of one of the ZDS tracks on their new EP on Institubes sister label Sound Pelegrino.

You should also check out the new ZDS EP on Made To Play (they will be releasing exclusively on Made To Play for the rest of the year and hold a residency at the M2P night at Panorama Bar in Berlin).

Enough already, now go send Nat some b-day love and listen to the mix.

Luca Venezia AKA Drop The Lime AKA Curses! has constantly been killing it, no matter what alter ego he uses. “The Deep End” (will be released by Institubes in March) sees him churn out a disco/house rocker with the infectious vocals of NYC singstress Maggie Horn and now fellow NYC duo Holy Ghost! comes along and turns it into an epic 8 minute burner and also adding the lovely Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem/Juan MacLean fame) to the mix.

Congorock – Runark

Our old buddy and the Italian hero on Fool’s Gold Records, Congorock, just dropped his “Runark EP” (with remixes from Jokers Of The Scene and His Majesty Andre). The razorsharp synth together with the vocals will lift your ass off that bar stool and for the rest we can only say that this is one perfect slab of ravey fidget house.

feb2009-b

Jason Forrest (AKA DJ Donna Summer) runs Nightshifters together with the best lady in NYC – Jubilee – and by the looks of this mix they’ll be doing it big in 2009. The mix previews some of the exciting tracks that they’ll release in the near future. Chokeful of goodies, watch out for that Jokers Of The Scene remix at the end…It’s massive!

“KILLER bass heavy remix for you by Proper Villians. Made for Palms Out Sounds but we wanted to spread the wealth as it’s just too freakin great to be missed!”

Hostage – Bring The Music (direct link)

“Funny and completely latin sounding bass-rave-salsa number from Scotland. Yeah, we were surprised when he heard it too! HAHA!”

PS. Check out the brand new Hostage remix of La Roux over at Discodust.
