In Ya Face
The “In Ya Face EP” is just about to be released (March 9th) on Seclusiasis and it’s a huge dancefloor stormer. Often referred to as the first track to identify Philadelphian production team Dev79 and Starkeys “Street Bass” sound, the original version of this bassheavy tune starts with a throbbing and lurching rhythm mixing with the samples to set the mood before the full on 4×4 dancefloor action kicks in with the cut-up girl rapping “In Ya Face”.
Brazil’s wild man producer/MC/DJ Edu K, Venezuelan producer/DJ Pharaoh (of Todosantos fame), Torontos very own Egyptrixx and Chi-town favorite Willy Joy all sprinkle some remix goodness on the EP.

A little disappointing. The production seems really simplistic and that “in your face” sample gets really boring after a minute. They should trash that sample and get a real MC to spit on this track.
Thanks for offering the promo download though, I usually love Starkey and Dev.
