DJ Sal Kirdkin – February Mix

Discobelles own Rick Ross, DJ Sal Kirdkin got his fingers on a Pacemaker. A Pacemaker is a sweet Swedish dj thingy pretty much as an mp3player but with a built in dj mixer. Did I tell you that it is Swedish? And everybody knows that Swedish things are super sexy to the max. Anyway, he threw in some Discobelle favourites, turned the bass up to eleven and this is what came out. BOOOM!!!!

The Wooden Chair

Swedish techno duo Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid did a Mixin’ It Up for us here at Discobelle (under their Pickpocket moniker) back in the day before moving onto bigger things. They recently helped out with Fever Rays debut album but also managed to find the time to work with singer Jenny Wilson, this is their remix of the first single “The Wooden Chair” which is taken off her upcoming sophomore album “Hardships!”. The remix gives us dark and moody techno with a tribal touch.

Bruce will always be Bruce but here Martin Vogel (of Swedish electro outfit Assid) gives “Tougher Than The Rest” a makeover, making it destined to be played at the next hip party. A steady shuffling beat with some pitter patter drums and the occasional handclaps that have us slow discodancing into the night.
