Fredrik of The Rumble put together a smashing party this weekend with a UK takeover courtesy of Toddla T, Martelo and also Oneman. Oneman seemed to have slipped under our radar but he delivered big time with his fantastic set of dubstep, grime, funky house, etc. For those that missed the fun, you can grab the livemix and start wilding out.

Asobi Seksu – Familiar Light (Twins Remix)

The indie band Asobi Seksu may be Pitchfork’s wet dream but I can’t say I have given them much attention until this remix turned up. The beautiful voice gets put more in focus and the wonderful beat from Twins turns this into something really sweet. This is perfect as a cure for the cold weather we are having.

The Twins remix of “Familiar Light” is the b-side of the Asobi Seksu single that is out today on One Little Indian.

Steven Bloodbath & DJ Excel – The 36 Day Walk

People are moving west these days and Cali country seems like the plays to be. Two Philly boys DJ Excel and Steven Bloodbath packed their crates of records and moved out. They have known each other for a long time but they have never done a collabo before so they decided to put a mix out there. Both DJ Excel and Steven has been featured in our “Mixin’ It Up” series before and are always on spot. Apparently, 36 days & 23 hours is how long it would take to walk between Philly and LA. I been waiting for this mix the last couple of days and happy thats it finally here!

Nightswimming (Steve Kream remix)

Last october we posted this fab track from AC Slater and we even posted the Jack Beats remix. The original is a banger and Jack Beats remix adds enough ideas for a complete album! Bok Bok , who organize the club night Night Slugs and the blog Lover End Spasm, enjoyed the intro so much that he turned it into a song of its own.
