Nacho Lovers mixes

We’re celebrating the start of the new week with a Nacho Lovers bonanza, two tasty mixes from our favorite Canadian jacking house duo. These are pure gold and will make sure that the week just flies by and before you know it weekend debauchery is upon us again.

The first mix was done for Australian radio station Triple J to promote their recent Australian tour. The second mix is actually the first part of the brand new Fools Gold podcast series, entitled “I Nacho NY” and the boys describe it as an:

“ode to New York house from the 1990’s. Everything is either by a NY artist, NY remixer, was released on a NY Label, or just fit that New York ’sound’ of the time. This is stuff we are heavily influenced by when it comes to making music.”

    Both mixes grow on you. There is something insanely hypnotic about the JJJ mix…the mix builds up so well to the point that around min. 36 it took me deep back to the late 90s, raving in a dark warehouse that glittered with light from glowstick kids wearing too-big-for-their-own-good-JNCOs, pink hair, pacifiers…I could feel the dust kicked up by breakers, the bass vibrations from the 6-foot speakers…white/black/hispanic/chinese/native all dancing, loving the groove…mmmm…the good old days….
