Bujo Mojo is a god of pretoria house…a deity of the highest order! Pretoria house is an aqcuired taste…mostly because it is one of the more raw (and yet incredibly popular) styles. Most produtions sound like they were banged up with a hammer, a whistle and some nails…
But no, not old Bujo Mojo…king! king! king! this lil’ drum work out is all bounce, no fat.

?? – HALLELUA
I have no idea who had the gaul to make this one, the synth works sounds shards of light being
shot through the clouds by a furious but loving god. I cut out the part where it goes into a rendition of *Halleluja!!!!*…count yourself lucky.

TIRA – IZOLO FT MALOBO
People call Tira the prince of durban because he is running schitt oh so hard…his label afrotainment has the best house acts in the land, he throws epic partes…and owns many a speed boat.

This song is about tricking girls into thinking you are rich and well connected in order to get them into bed…smooth operators!! *note, the song is not sung by tira…he doesn’t need to lie.

DJ CLEO – MORE RUTHLESS
Cleo is really fucking great. I am a big fan despite not wanting to be one.
He is fucking increrdible and keeps dishing up the goods…even after all the dodgey rumours (google and you’ll see what i mean).

Shangaan and township tech go together like smoke and fire…this is from DJ Kent, who i had previously parred for being a deep house queer…I am the queer for doubting…this is dutty!!
The story of Johnny is heartwarming.

CHIEF BOIMA – FILAW REMIX
Chief Boima is an odd but grand cat with a rich and well maintained coat
…san fran turntablist turns african house head?!?
He sent me a batch of tracks and they are all lethal!! I put the other chunk in my Devil House Mafias mix.

KENNY DOPE & TERRY HUNTER – NO HOOK
Dutty! No need for a hook when your mainline is based on years of mindcontrol research.

Quite possibly my favourite song this month…love and happiness!! Makes me wanna take my shirt off in the club, but i am liable to get shot..so i will setlle for screaming *HOOOOOOOOOOOOOUSE* into my beer!

DJ PEPSI – PEPSI’S REVENGE
DJ Pepsi is part of the old guard of South African house music, he was kicking head before the Y2K scare.
Funny that this song is called Pepsi’s Revenge, I hear he is quite a nasty character prone to pulling out his big
guns at the slightest provocation. Don’t provoke him. He will get his revenge.

Big ravey synths, playalistic lyrics about spending money…my mom loooooves this tune

This was probably one of teh absolute biggest songs of the last two years…driving round SOWETO on xmas day it felt like everyone was paying this…and *Morgan is Angry*
