Apart from all the blogging, we DJ quite a lot. We play the same sort of music that we post, so if you like the blog – you’re going to have a good time on our dancefloor as well. Rappers Delight remix contest

Discobelle is teaming up with Green United Music for a Dan The Automator remix contest. Here’s the deal:

Dan The Automator just finished the production of a brand new version of classic rap hit “Rappers Delight” featuring Chali 2 Na (from Jurassic 5) & Domino + Casual (from Hieroglyphics) which will be released soon. But to hold you over until the actual release we put together a remix contest where the winners will be released on a digital remix EP.

Download the parts in HQ (via Megaupload) here, make your remix, then name your track like this: RD ”your name here” Remix (example: RDJoeRamonRemix) and upload + send it over here. Deadline is June 14th, so get cracking!

    This looks awesome! Have you guys thought of putting a Remix Wizard widget on the myspace page, so that people can upload their remixes for others to play, vote on and share? [Full disclosure: I am a founder of MixMatchMusic, who created the Remix Wizard]

    Also, the widget allows for fans that don’t have any music software to make mixes through an online MixMaker. Check it out at http://remixwizard.mixmatchmusic.com. It’s free and customizable, so it will fit with your myspace page!
