“This is my favorite remix I have done so far.. just as you think the bass will stop rising, it doesn’t!” L-Vis 1990

Sex Video
Wednesday, June 24th, 2009
Montreal based club/rock music label Tremendous Records just signed Love & Electrik and the release of ‘Sex Video’ the duo’s first single which was out yesterday exclusively on beatport (if you like the track support them and buy the track).
“Love & Electrik (AKA Roxy Aiston and Kevin Mah) are like an explosion of flashing lights and glassy sound. Welcome to their universe where vintage synthesizers, vocoders & talkbox coexist with a voice that has a timeless soul. Together their music takes you to a familiar past: the groove of Nu Shooz to the dripping sex appeal of Minneapolis Funk, the dance vibes of 80’s Freestyle music to the intergalactic synths of Paul Hardcastle, the playfulness of The Jets to the smoothness of the S.O.S Band.”

Vyle – Oh I Think Dey Like Hoodtronics Vol.2
Wednesday, June 24th, 2009Vyle releases a new installment of his Hoodtronics mixtape series. The first version mixed by Flosstradamus in 2007 (Rolling Stone Mag’s Best DJ’s of 2008) was met with alot of praise, it’s packed with collaborations between many of today’s upcoming electro, dance and rap artists (such as Surkin, Radioclit, DatA, Kid Sister).
This next installment is just as packed to the brim with collaborations, remixes etc. as the first mixtape and shows Vyle evolving even more, production coming from Tepr, Daedelus, Chuck Inglish (The Cool Kids), Million Dolla Mano and vocal apperances by Mestizo and High Priest (from newly reformed Anti-Pop Consortium), this mixtape reassures us that 2009 is going to a great year for Vyle.

Emynd – The Club Champ EP
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009
New Emynd EP out now!! Cop it at Amazon, Itunes or Juno!
“The Club Champ EP” is Emynd’s newest digital-only EP of exclusive Club and Dance anthems that showcase his forward thinking approach of uniquely combining his vast influences, infusing songs with elements of Hip-Hop, House, Baltimore Club, and New Orleans Bounce. On the title track “The Club Champ,” Emynd digs deep into his Hip Hop breakbeat background, producing an energetic Bmore influenced banger that thumps with heavy organs and smashing kick drums. While Scott Matelic’s remix of the track adds various twists and turns that recontextualize the vibe effortlessly, premier New Orleans producer Peacachoo’s Bounce remix completely deconstructs the song, transforming it into an entirely new Bounce anthem that’ll rattle the bassbins from the Bayou to Bass Music parties everywhere. Rounding out the release are the tumbling “Triggerman” bells on “Hot Down Here,” the NY House influenced “Okay! What’s Up!” and “Hold It Down 2009” — a track originally featured exclusively on the Do It To It Volume 2 Vinyl release alongside work from heavyweights Nadastrom, Bird Peterson, and Tittsworth. (”Hold it Down 2009″ is Emynd’s updated re-working of the classic 2 Bad Mice song “Hold It Down”) Already supported by some of the biggest DJs in the world from Diplo to Sinden to Dave Nada, it’s another sure fire, champion sound release!
Happily for us europeans Emynd splits his time these days between Lille, France and Philly,US.
Here is two tracks from the EP that he gives away for free!!
