Jah Mason – I Told You (Paul Alt refix)

Brand new refix for the Xmas season. Belgium Dub/Step producer Paul Alt teams up with 77 Klash City Records to effortlessly fuse electronic music with hardcore Dancehall and make it seem just a little bit nastier than before. Paul Alt keeps the vocals of Jah Mason but puts on a summerish dance beat that makes the marriage of dancehall and house sound just as wicked as we knew it could.

Hollertronix #10

End of an era?

“The FINAL installment of the Hollertronix series is upon us. Hollertronix #10 stays completely true to its ancestry and is a piece of “play anywhere” dancefloor magic. The Partysquad have given us four timeless tracks to drink and get merry with this holiday season”.

Grab it here! Here’s the Diplo & Jayou remix of the b-side track “Murderer” to tie you over until your vinyl arrives… (Via Mad Decent)

FADER/SoCo 7″ – Tanlines/SALEM – Contest Giveaway

We know you love SALEM as much as we do so we hooked up three EPs with their collab for The Fader/SoCo 7″ with Tanlines. Fill in your details here and we will send three of you a free copy of the record (there are only 500 copies available).

“The 11th installment of the FADER/Southern Comfort 7-inch series has arrived and this—not just for AJ Fusco’s shadowy cover at—is a dark one. Between Midwesterners, SALEM’s “Babydaddy” extended take on synth goth with vocalist Heather soft wailing, and Brooklyn’s Tanlines‘ “S.A.W.,” lamenting “the older I get,”—in their first track with full vocals verses—these are two late fall pieces.”

El Perro Del Mar vs. Robyn

Robyn, under the moniker Rakamonie, just remixed one of our favorite Swedish tracks of 2009 – El Perro Del Mar’s “Change Of Heart”. It’s her first remix ever, and what a way to start. This subtle and beautiful electropop remix of the track is something we imagine listening to walking home through a dark and frostbitten city.

PS. El Perro Del Mar will embark on a US tour together with fellow Swedish singstress Taken By Trees in February. Check the dates after the jump.

Riverside (Lil Silva remix)

“Riverside” from Dutch producer/dj Sidney Samson is one of the big dance anthems of the year, Lil Silva gives it a UK funky makeover that will have us dancing well into 2010.

dadahack

dadahack is the new cross-continent dance-electronica outfit. The name dadahack may be new to you but the duo behind the act are by no means in-experienced – the UK’s James Banbury and Swedish based producer, Pete Davis have production credits including Blackbox Recorder, Gwen Stefani, Wiley, Talvin Singh and Bloc Party.

The first material they are teasing out is a taste-maker EP called “Hellos”. A heady mix of house, nu-disco, electro and sleaze. The original track ‘Hello Dust’ features the new fashioned vocals of Hannah Robinson, which gets a remix treatment from the prolific Swedish producer, Håkan Libo.

Also on the package are three more laternate takes. A sensational 11-minute gritty electro workout from Freelance Hellraiser that never tires the ears (my personal favourite). Something a bit edgier from dadahack themselves – weapon of choice for Faithless DJ, Sister Bliss – and a relaxing skippy trip alternative version from Tranquility Bass.

We got an very exclusive Dadahacked Discobelle Edit of “Hello/Hello Dust” and the remix från Håkan Lidbo to share with you.
