Example – Won’t Go Quietly Remix Comp

We just ended a remix competition and what better thing to do then to start up another one. This time we team up with Ministry of Sound for a killer remix competition. We want you to get remixing and twist Example‘s “Won’t Go Quietly” into your own master piece.

You got until December 28th to hand in your remix. So when you are done, upload your track to a upload service and send them here.

Ministry of Sound and Discobelle will then pick our favourite remix. One winner will get the following prize:

Digidesign M Box 2 (£350) soundcard including Pro Tools 8 software

and

M-Audio CX 5 speakers (£500 a pair)

As well as the winning remix will be promoted by the Ministry of Sound team to their specialist DJs/radio DJs/blogs etc…They will also add the winner to their remix roster for future remix projects.

We are looking for people to be completely open minded – do what you want and deliver something interesting! Any genre welcome – and as much or as little of the vocal as you see fit!

Grahmzilla

Talented Montreal producer/dj Grahmzilla of Thunderheist fame hit us up with some of his recent efforts. Both the Little Boots with it’s contagious synthline and the electro/dancehall flavored Erup remix has been getting plenty of plays here at Discobelle HQ. Here’s some info from Grahm himself:

“After 9 months of insane touring, we’re finally done promoting the Thunderheist album and I have been getting my remixing on. I want to get back to making club friendly tracks and DJ alot more so I’m making it happen.

The Little Boots remix has been in the works for a long time but I just didnt feel like it was finished until recently. The Erup remix having been released a month ago officially…It was never leaked and I have tweaked it a bit.”

Adrian Recordings Sunday Advent Mixtapes #2: Krazy Fiesta

Discobelle brethren Adrian Recordings joins forces with amazing duo Krazy Fiesta for the second Advent Mixtape this year. Top notch as usual, they manage to drill down some unexpected moves. Like the remix from Leo Nathorst, one half of Boeoes Kaelstigen, and their own unexpected live dub of Andreas Tilliander’s track “She Don’t Cry”. Extra sugar on top is the shouts coming from Lorentz of Lorentz & M.Sakarias. Exclusive, interesting and danceable, just like we want it.

Drop The Bomb On Em

Eminem on Discobelle? Well yes, it doesn’t happen often but this bonus track from the rerelase of “Relapse/Refill” (dropping on December 21st, just in time for christmas) leaked last night and we need something to listen to on slow sundays, Dr Dre on the beat which is enough to save this track.
