The Glamour – Robot Rock

Milwaukee boys The Glamour are ready for their first release on the Cheap Thrills label. They’ve covered “Robot Rock” by Daft Punk for the b-side of single “Love Burns” (the single is out on Beatport this week and everywhere else next week) which is a bold move but they give it a sprinkle of their own sound.

Phoenix – Fences (Delphic remix)

Modular are bringing out the big guns with the release of a US only EP (backed with remixes from Renaissance Man and Nightmoves, to be released March 2nd) from Manchester indie disco trio Delphic who were recently released their debut album “Acolyte” and were just confirmed for an appearance at Coachella in April. To promote the single and the festival date, they’re giving away the Delphic remix of French electropopsters in Phoenix + the recent Modcast that the lads did.

instamatic 037

Instamatic

We’re starting the week with two brilliant house/disco remixes by Pink Skull and DJ Apt One of new single “Police Us” from fellow Philadelphian synthpop outfit Instamatic (featuring members of Crimp Yr Hair etc.). While the original is all about being a dancey and immediately recognizable light synthpop track, Pink Skull and Apt One instead guides it towards being a total Chicago house anthem.
