White Light 18 - Neoteric

White Light 18 – Neoteric

New mix from our man over in Vancouver, Neoteric strikes again with his third installment of the White Light Mix Series which he runs together with Matty C.

“It’s been amazing to see this series blossom into what it has become! My last White Light mix (Vol 5) was one of my favourite mixes that I’ve ever done, but I wanted to go deeper on this one to really catch the ‘Night Driving / Zone Out’ vibe. This one is much less vocal, way more mind trip, and features some very strong productions from acts who are really pushing this sound. This is pretty heady, moody stuff, and the vocals that were picked resonate strongly with emotion. I hope this mix strikes a nerve and is the cosmic soundtrack along your ways. Look towards the light!”

Dada Life – January Mix

After you finished pre-partying to Lazaro Casanovas warm up set (found in the post below), slip this bad boy from Dada Life on (which of course includes their remix of Mvsevm) and watch the party get started.

“First mix of the year. And we’re going out with a boom!

The January Mix is fllled with exclusive goodies that you can’t find anywhere else. What about our new remix of Dan Blacks smashing tune Symphonies – featuring Kid Cudi? (We finished it yesterday, and were so excited about it that we had to include it immediately!) Or a fresh Guerilla Fart of the techno classic Percolator by Cajmere? Or a D.I.M-remix (Boys Noize Records) of our upcoming single Love Vibrations?!! Add the hottest tracks from Laidback Luke, Crookers, The Subs and other nice people and…phew.

This mix is like raw chicken with extra whipped cream. Go lick it!

Yep, next single is called “Love Vibrations” and will feature remixes from D.I.M, Savage Skulls, Phatzoo and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.”

This Is Head

Local Malmö quartet This Is Head just signed to local label Adrian Recordings (home to Boeoes Kaelstigen, Andreas Tilliander, Familjen etc.) and the debut album “0001″ will drop sometime in March. This twisting and shuffling remix by Dan Lissvik (of Studio fame) is featured on their “0002″ 12″ that was released a little while ago.

“Their music is best described as a mix between discovery channel, autobahn & cars crashing. There are also a touch of 70’s spacerock & 80’s indierock.”

Please Don’t

David Byrne (of Talking Heads fame) teams up with British superstar producer/dj Fatboy Slim and singstress Santigold for his latest single “Please Don’t”. (Via Nah Right)

David had this to say about the track:

“I think Santi did a perfect version of this song, which describes, pretty much in her own words, Imelda Marcos’ adventures in what she called ‘handbag diplomacy.”
