Drunk Love

We haven’t heard much from Krazy Fiesta lately but it seems like they’ve been holed up in the studio. “Drunk Love” is one of their first original tracks to get an official release (on Swedish label Hybris) and they’ve collaborated with Norwegian vocalist Nils Bech for this organic sounding handclapdriven electropop track. In the future they’ll do a release with Spoek Mathambo and another collaboration with Familjen + an upcoming release later in the fall with us here at Discobelle.

Lazaro Casanova – Tropicasa Summer Mix

Miami based producer Lazaro Casanova is one of our favorite dj’s and producers, always bringing that smooth and funky techhouse flavor. We commissioned him to do one of the remixes for the upcoming Femme En Fourrure “Dirty Blonde Remixes” EP (out next week on Discobelle Records) and not only did he bring us an mindblowingly amazing remix that’s perfect for the beginning of the night, he also provided us with this exclusive mix that contains full on summer vibes.

BONUS: A playful take on the Lily Allen (an old favorite here at Discobelle) track “Not Fair” that he just finished which stretches out the track, he uses just the right amount of her vocals along with some handclaps and funky drums to make this into a winner.

NYC producer/dj Brenmar (who is also a member of These Are Powers) has been very productive as of late with a steady flow of original tracks, edits and remixes and he will surely be doing it big this year. We have a release coming up with him in the late summer/early fall and Sinden scooped him up for his Grizzly label aswell. Here’s a jawdropping mix full of that mutated bass, UK influenced dance music (Brenmar is part of a new breed of US dance music producers along with Dubbel Dutch, LOL Boys, Nguzunguzu et al) that is bound to seriously pop things off for Brenmar, there’s of course exclusives galore on this one so download it this instant and don’t forget to check the tracklist.

Jens Lekman – A Summer In 3/4 Time Mix

Our favorite Swedish indiepop singer Jens Lekman made a summer mix and we love it.

“I got the opportunity to remix my favourite song from Au Revoir Simone’s beautiful album Still Night, Still Light. While listening to the song I realised how nice it’d be to transform their straight 4/4 time synthpop into a whirlwind waltz or maybe a barcarole if you will. It took a long time to chop up all the syllables and the tiny tiny samples, but I think the result got the song into a whole swirling new direction.

While making the remix, my mind started working in 3/4 and 6/8 time. I started looking around for tracks in that time signature to make a mix, I wasn’t intending to but I couldn’t help it. It was all a big swirl. After a while I heard it everywhere. In soul ballads, in polyrhythmical african pop, in old movies. In the ocean waves tumbling in against the shore, in the beat of a lovers heart. One two three, one two three…”

The Best Of Everything

French prodigy and dance music wizard Brodinski killing the mix competition with the release of not one but two mixes today in the form of “The Best Of Everything”, one mix dedicated to hip hop and the other to electro, Brodinski flawlessly juggles the two.

“Brodi’s newest endeavour is The Best Of Everything, a two-paged love letter to music delivered in the shape of a free mixtape. On side B, the natural born DJ delivers a hard-hitting techno set, showing of his finesse and seemingly effortless flexibility. On side A, however, we hear him furiously cutting and pasting between hip-hop and old school rap – this collaboration with his good friend DJ Orgasmic shows a different side of the so-called techno prodigy. “I love hip-hop, there’s so much good productions coming out, every day I discover something exciting.”
