Another week that kickstarts right into top gear. Here we have our old friends in Boeoes Kaelstigen (watch out for an EP and an album coming this fall on Adrian Recordings) who remixes labelmates Dmitry Fyodorov. Moody techhouse done in a Berlin meets Stockholm way and you can bet this will have people dancing at all those dark after hours clubs.

Art Nouveau

A bit of a slow sunday here at the Discobelle office but we we’re glad to find this gem courtesy of French duo Art Nouveau in our inbox. They’re about to drop their debut EP this fall on Copenhagen based label Demento Mori and in the meantime here’s two absolutely stunning tracks for us to enjoy.

“The two Reims-based producers Andrea Starosse and Julien Salman started working together under their moniker Art Nouveau after running into each other in a clubnight in – ironically enough – Paris. They create a rich and colourful sound that’s inspired by different forms of house music but they also draw a lot inspiration from world music, which is clearly audible in their universal sound. In the past they have sent out demos to the Australian duo Yolanda Be Cool who picked up their single “Miracle” to get a release on their label Sweat It Out! and meanwhile they’ve been working together with Get Flavor Records too. Being playlisted by the Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, having steady support from Brodinski and a couple of upcoming releases in sight, the future for these two young French producers looks bright.”

The Sonnets – New Fire In The City (I Always Wanted A Pony remix (video)

Fashionable local pop outfit The Sonnets present a wonderful new remix of their upcoming single “New Fire In The City” which was done by the production duo I Always Wanted A Pony. Their remix will be featured on the digital release of the single. This unofficial horse polo video was just sent to us by Despotz.

The Sonnets forthcoming album “Western Harbour Blue” has already been released in Japan and will be released in Scandinavia next week, rest of the world end of September.
