Diamond Bass – ‘All That’

Lisbon based label Enchufada (home of Buraka Som Sistema) present their latest release: ‘Se Prepara’, the debut EP from global bass producer Diamond Bass, a trademark mix of international House/Kuduro/Baile Funk & Dubstep.

In this case, the ‘Se Prepara’ EP shows the raw power of well chopped samples and insistent Latin vocals melding over intense builds and tribal Kuduro beats, with Buraka Som Sistema member J-WOW’s Club Edit upping the tempo even further. We’ve got the unreleased Diamond Bass track “All That” to share with you, a bumping cross between traditional house and bass heavy turbulence. Grab the release @ Juno Records.

Richelle – Mascotte

Brussels based label Pelican Fly doing it huge with their inaugural release that will drop March 21st, the Richelle “Mascotte/Bendin EP” comes with remixes from DJ Hilti, Mister Tweeks, Jay Weed and LOL Boys and this will be an anthem!

munchi

Munchi – Shottas Feat Mr. Lexx (Crookers Remix)

Crookers pull out some of their freshest sounding production to date in this remix of some already prime original track by moombathan juggling talent Munchi. Mr. Lexx, famous for his role beside Santigold on Major Lazer’s “Hold The Line” flows effortlessly with a deadpan delivery.

Also:

“Munchi had a seizure caused by an intracerebral hemorrhage, with no prior condition. He spent 9 hours in a coma and 11 days in the hospital recovering. He has no medical insurance in the US. His medication is expensive and he needs to get back to Rotterdam. Our goal is to pay for his ticket home, get our Hawaiian friends reimbursed for his meds and eventually pay for his hospital bills.”

Femme En Fourrure – Bronco (video)

If someone asked me “hey, what’s the new Femme En Fourrure video about?” I would probably say:

“Stealing bikes, punching DJs, salad, the confederate flag, masturbating to yourself in the mirror, nosebleeds in a club, weird gold painted dudes, the phrase “where my stallions at”, littering, throwing drinks on people who make requests at the bar, and probably a lot more creepy sexual subtext that I haven’t quite gleamed yet.”

That being said, it’s amazing. Out soon on Top Billin. Possibly NSFW (but really, all videos are depending on whether your workplace allows you to watch YouTube at work).

Chateau Marmont – One Hundred Realities (video)

Kinda like what would happen if MC Escher designed the screensavers for Windows 95. Featuring some beautiful art direction by Shinya Sato.

tunnel

NT89 – The Tunnel (TWR72 cover)

For those who can appreciate a singular, gigantic buildup that explodes out into the ozone layer afterwards – here’s Rome based producer NT89′s take on TWR72′s recent comeback techno jam “Tunnel”. Keep your eyes out for a big, Brodinski hailed remix coming from NT89 very, very soon on Discobelle Records, which you can grab a preview of RIGHT HERE.

Grab NT89′s TWR72 remix from Soundcloud below. Whew, too many acronyms in that last sentence.

saintsgomachine

When Saints Go Machine – Fail Forever (Nicolas Jaar Remix)

Wonderyouth Nicolas Jaar strikes a good balance between ambient and danceable on his reworking of of Denmark’s When Saints Go Machine. The track peaks about halfway through, where Jaar throws some handclaps on top of some steel drums and creates an atmosphere that’s simultaneously grooving and melancholy, pitching the tempo up and down in sync with the pacing of the track, reminiscent of some of Four Tet’s earlier work. When Saints Go Machine’s upcoming album “Konkylie” is set for a June release, and will surely bring more purgatory-step beats with it.

Art Nouveau – Demento Mori Mix

French duo Art Nouveau just dropped their new “Air France” EP on Danish up and coming label Demento Mori, it’s a lovely affair that includes remixes from fellow frenchman Gucci Vump and US/Canadian bassenhanced combo LOL Boys. The boys threw together a fine sounding mix (that includes some Discobelle Records love) to promote the release and it’s definetely brightened up our day.
