Vulture Music Presents: SANTIAGO & BUSHIDO EXCLUSIVE MIX

Legendary French dance label Vulture brings an exclusive mix from Chicago house affiliates Santiago & Bushido.

Full of sounds that can transform a dreary Monday into a transcendent office / bedroom dance party, it includes their remix for the upcoming Pacific! track “Unspoken”, which’ll be out April 18th with remixes from Alex Gopher & Pierrick Devin, Moonlight Matters and Santiago & Bushido.

Not included on the mix but very worth mentioning is this heater of an Anoraak remix that you can grab HERE, which is a perfect balmy tune to play while wandering on a foreign beach under the stars, accompanied by soothing synths and a slow simmering buildup.

Enjoy the mix, and keep your eyes out on what Vulture’s doing next.

The Weeknd – House of Balloons (Free Album)

Today marks some absolute cause for celebration as mysterious Toronto collective “The Weeknd” serve up a free album full of buzzing, crooning r&b slow jams and ambient production that evokes trace elements of Ginuwine at his most emotional and the cast of Nelly’s “Tip Drill” music video (recently removed from Youtube) crammed together in a steamy sauna in the middle of Canadian winter.

“The Party & The After Party” weaves through an El Perro Del Marr sample adding some perfectly timed handclaps, gunshots and words about high heels, Louis V bags, arm tattoos and possibly drug dealing. “Loft Music” twists a single Beach House into an anthemic trap rap last-slow-dance-at-the-party kind of song.

Lyrically, they sound so polished that it’s shocking to think it’s their first release. If you listen to only one free album of laid back sex jams all year, let this take the priority on your list.

Ben UFO Boiler Room Mix #47

Ben UFO’s set from the Hessle Audio takeover 47th edition of the Boiler Room series is so good that you should hear it live. No tracklisting, but it’s an all vinyl set with a fantastic dubstep meets future garage meets bashment feel to it. Also see a great interview that Ben UFO did with The Quietus about whether the current status of vinyl in DJ culture, the Hessle label, and participating / not participating in the current “hype machine” of musical culture. You can also watch some archived footage of his set here, which is probably guaranteed to bum you out if you weren’t there.
